Christmas Mini with Clear Scraps Chipboard Embellishments

Hello and happy Friday!  It's Jennifer to share a fun Christmas mini book I created using using some of the new Chipboard Embellishment Shapes! Every year, I love making a book just for Christmas memories whether it be a "December Daily" of sorts or just something to jot down favorite traditions!  I began with the 5x7 Acrylic Tab Album as my base; a great classic! I lightly painted off white chalk paint around the edges of each page to give it a "snowy" effect.

The "star" of the front of my album is the new Gnome Chipboard Embellishment Shape.  I painted the chipboard first with red and black chalk paint.  Once my paint was dry, I added embossing ink followed by red embossing powder to to give my gnome some shine.  Then using my Beacon Adhesive, I backed patterned paper behind the nose and beard.

For my inside cover, I wanted a space for some journaling. I  added the new Bell Bulbs Chipboard Embellishment Shapes at the top (again using paint + embossing powder).

Here, I utilized one of the 4x6 cards from the collection I used as an extra page in my book. I spruced up the tree with coordinating enamel dots as well as added die cut presents at the bottom.

On the back side, I left a slot for a photo or additional journaling.

For my next page, I cut a 3.75 x 12 inch piece of patterned paper. I scored at 6.25 and placed the fold at the top.   I adhered the Star Tree Chipboard Embellishment Shape to the front with my Beacon Adhesive.

Here is a close up of what the inside of the page looks like. I added a journaling spot as well as an area for a photo.

I  know I'm becoming predictable in my mini albums but I love creating pocket pages!  Here, I  stitched a pocket using two pieces of patterned paper. I then added tags as well as 3x4 journaling cards. I  affixed one of the Two Presents Chipboard Embellishment Shapes.

Here is the partner in the Two Presents Chipboard Embellishment Shapes!  I backed this present with patterned paper before adhering to my page.

Here is a close up of the backside of the previous page:

I had found some old silver star overlay paper in my stash and decided to use it as an extra page. I layered fun ephemera around the Tag Holly Chipboard Embellishment Shape as shown.

On the backside, I  tried to "mirror" my embellishments using the Tag Mittens Chipboard Embellishment Shapes

And here is my last page which is reserved for a fun photo!

I  covered the back of my album with a great candy cane pattern and added a circle journaling spot to add the date.

Princess Album

Hello Crafty Friends!

I'm Dana and I'm back on the Clear Scraps blog with a Victorian style mini album. I think creating mini albums are a great way to showcase your own crafting style! I'll be using Clear Scraps 8x8 chipboard album Click Here  for my project today. Along with Stamperia Princess collection.

All our base papers will measure 8x8. Make sure to punch all your holes along the edge before gluing. Adhere your coordinating papers onto the cover, back and all inside pages.  I'm using a variety of papers from both the 8x8 and 12x12 paper pads. I would suggest having two 8x8 pads if that's the only size you want to use. I recommend using a strong permanent glue like Beacon 3 in 1. I also will be inking all my fussy cut elements with Knotted Wood chalk ink.

Front Cover:  I fussy cut out one of the princess images and Princess sentiment. I adhered my sentiment and to the top of my page using foam dots. My Princess image was adhered to my front cover with foam dots. This adds dimension to your project. Then I glued one set of the chipboard sticker doors at the bottom right side. Then glued acouple gems to resemble door knobs. I applied some mini pearls and gems to the crown chipboard piece and adhered it at the top of my sentiment. I like adding alittle Stickles glitter to the sleeve of her cape.

Page 1: (inside cover) I cut a 8x4 paper and created a pocket. I glued a piece of lace at the top edge along a string of pearls. I fussy cut another doll, envelope and journaling card from the paper pack. I adhered a gem to the top of my corset journaling card. Tuck these inside the pocket. I fussy cut a sentiment, and rose frame element and adhered with foam dots onto my pocket. Then I added a chipboard sticker picture frame at the top of my page.  Foam dots were applied to the top frame piece with the lady image.

Page 2: I left this page blank because I couldn't bear to cover up this pretty paper! But you could add a photo mat and photo if you prefer.

Page 3: I fussycut out one of the curtain and valance from my 8x8 pad. Inked the edges and added foam dots to the back before adhering to my page. I also glued one of the chipboard pictures on the wall. I cut out the dressform images from my 8x8 pad. Then using Clear Scraps Chipboard Dressform shape Click Here I painted the top portion and the stand at the bottom with some Rose Gold acrylic paint. Let dry. Then glue your Dressform image to the chipboard piece. Adding some foam dots on the back of your chipboard Dressform piece, adds depth and dimension. I glued a crystal gem at the top. And Stickles glitter to the beaded necklace. This adds some nice sparkle!

Page 4: Cut out another journaling card and score 1/2 inch at the top to make a flip up page. Then adhere at the top. You can add photos underneath and on the reverse side of your flip page. I adhered another gem on the top of my corset. Then finish by adhered 3 sentiment chipboard stickers on the right side.

Page 5: I took 2 of the feather chipboard stickers and one of the ink bottles and adhered over my matching images on my base paper. The other pink ink bottle, I fussy cut from one of my papers and adhered with foam dots onto the matching image. Then I glued a chipboard letter sticker on the left.

Page 6: I cut out one of the door images. Using my x-acto knife I cut around the door. Then carefully glued it on my page. I added acouple brown gems to resemble door knobs. Inside the doors, I added a Princess chipboard sentiment and one of the dolls. Then to finish my page, I added some Dazzle  stickers to all four corners of my page. Then glued acouple chipboard diecut hearts on both sides of my door.

Page 7: I cut a paper at 4 & 1/2 x 8 inches. Scored 1/2 inch at the right. And adhered on the right side of my page. I fussy cut a portrait of the lady, inked the edges. And adhered with foam dots in the middle of my flip page. I glued a flower at the top. You can easily add 2 photos underneath your flip page, and one on the back.

Page 8: For my last page, I fussy cut the vanity, and doll. I adhered them on my page using foam dots. I adhered a umbrella diecut sticker under my dolls hand so she appears to be holding the umbrella. Then add another sentiment at the upper right corner.

To finish my album, I tied some light blue ribbons through the holes and tied them into a bow!

Here's are a few close-ups!

I hope I have inspired you to want to create ypur own album. Clear Scraps has a wide variety of albums to chose from. Check out the Clear Scraps website Click Here

Lovely Acrylic Wave Slimline Album

Hello everyone! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a mini book I  created using the Acrylic Wave Slimline Album plus a few Clear Scraps goodies!  I  have been wanting to scrapbook my daughter's senior photos from last year for awhile and thought one of the Slimline Albums would be perfect!

I  began by placing drops of yellow alcohol ink along the outside edges of my front cover (after removing the protective film).  I  blended in some select areas but did not worry about full coverage.  I    then added Mixative in Snow Cap.

Once my alcohol ink was dry, I  flipped over my front cover and stamped this wreath image around the edges using StazOn in black.  Again, I  did not worry about it being perfect as I  knew I  would be adding patterned paper to the front of my album.

I  set my  cover aside to work on my shaker which would be the focal point of the front of my book. Using the 3x4 Rectangle Mini Shaker Shape, I  applied patterned paper to the chipboard base with Beacon Adhesive.  I  then cut away excess paper with an x-acto knife and my sanding tool.

Here you can see I  added numbers as well as embellishments from the collection I  used along with sequins.  After adhering the acrylic piece, I  like to secure my shaker by using these clip pins while everything dries.

Next, I  went to work on my Fancy Butterflies Chipboard Embellishment Shapes. I  painted both with white acrylic paint and then used embossing ink with powder

I  adhered my chipboard butterfly to the top left of my shaker as shown using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive. I  also added some paper flowers I  had in my stash.

Here is a close up of my shaker which I  also added a cluster of paper flowers from my stash.

I  covered my pages with 4.5 x 10.75 inch pieces of patterned paper and used 4x6 photos. I  love the longer length of the pages to add journaling or extra embellishments.

Here, I    used two 4x4 photos which I matted onto white cardstock.

For this page, you can see I    used my other Fancy Butterfly Chipboard Embellishment Shape.  I  decided to use a light pink embossing powder to contrast the yellow background.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today! You can see the Slimline Album by clicking HERE!  Have a great day!

Clear Scraps Chipboard Slimline Album--Happy St. Pat's Decor

Hi there everybody!!  Laura here today sharing another way to

use the Clear Scraps Slimline Albums.  This time it's the

Chipboard Regular Slimline Album that I've used, to give

you a little home decor inspiration for the Springtime!

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Chipboard Album_Happy St. Pat's Decor copy

These make great mini albums but also GREAT bases for all

sorts of projects!  You can paint, stamp, use mixed media

mediums, stencils, a lot of options!  And here I simply

covered them with pretty St. Patrick's themed papers,

inked them around the edges, and glued them down.

I did have to punch an extra set of holes on the center

piece since the holes are only pre-punched on one side.

I used journal cards, stickers, trims and enamel dots

to decorate each section.

The word "blessed" is from the Clear Scraps collection.

It's one of the Chipboard Word Titles.  You can find all

the different choices HERE in the Clear Scraps store.

You can find one for just about every occasion or holiday!

Another extra little detail is the scallop border along

the top and bottom of the project.  These are a great

addition to any project with the slimline albums!

This set is the Scallop w/Holes Chipboard Border.

they were painted with black acrylic paint and then

brushed with a bit of green acrylic paint around the

edges, then glued onto the back of each section.

The are linked together with album/book rings

and decorated with some ribbon that matched

the Irish/St. Pat's theme.  A ribbon was added to

the top as a hanger.  Side note:  I left the middle

hole covered with paper here because I knew I

only needed the 2 for attaching the ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I hope you are inspired to use these slimline

albums for more than just an album!  They

are great pieces for all sorts of projects!

Clear Scraps Acrylic Tab Slimline Album--Acrylic Organizer

Hey there everyone!  Laura here with you today to share a way to

get yourself organized this year!!

Clear_Scraps_Acrylic Slimline Tab Album_Acrylic Organizer(1)

If you are like me, I'm always looking in the "junk drawer"

to find where I put this coupon, that business card,

a gift card I got for "x" holiday.  This year I thought

instead of always searching, why not make a colorful,

fun organizer to avoid that frustration!  It started with a

Clear Scraps Acrylic Tab Slimline Album.and the cute

Scissors Chipboard Embellishment!  I decided to

use alcohol inks to make it bright and colorful.  I did

the cover and back in a mix of 3 colors, and then did

each individual section in one of the colors alone.

Clear_Scraps_Acrylic Slimline Tab Album_Acrylic Organizer page 2(1)

I created a section for grocery coupons or ads.

Clear_Scraps_Acrylic Slimline Tab Album_Acrylic Organizer page 3(1)

Another for restaurant/coffee gift cards.  Here I used

Clear Scraps Coffee Mug Chipboard Embellishment

To create the card pockets, I used a small piece of

patterned paper and attached small pieces of

cardstock (2"x4") glued down leaving the top open.

Clear_Scraps_Acrylic Slimline Tab Album_Acrylic Organizer tutorial 1(1)

I kept decorating simple with a few strips of scrap

paper and an enamel dot here or there.

Just enough to give it a little pizzazz.

Clear_Scraps_Acrylic Slimline Tab Album_Acrylic Organizer page 1(1)

To make the larger pocket pages, I folded a 9&1/2" wide

piece of cardstock in half.  It was 10&1/2" long.  I cut

out a section at the top 6&1/4" long to leave the 4&1/4"

"pocket" along the bottom.  I glued the edges to create

the pocket and punched holes to add to the album.

Clear_Scraps_Acrylic Slimline Tab Album_Acrylic Organizer page 4(1)

This section holds rewards cards or retail shop

gift cards or coupons.  Love the cute little hangers?

Clear Scraps Clothes Hangers Chipboard with a little

twine bow.  They were painted with black acrylic

paint, and I brushed the "hanger" top with silver.

Clear_Scraps_Acrylic Slimline Tab Album_Acrylic Organizer page 5(1) Clear_Scraps_Acrylic Slimline Tab Album_Acrylic Organizer page 6(1)

The final pages were more pockets for cards or

tickets or whatever item needed a home!

Happy Hearts Slimline Album

Hello Crafty Friends!

February is the month of Love! What better way to scrapbook all your special moments and showcase them in one of the many Slimline Albums from Clear Scraps!

For my project today, we'll be using Clear Scraps Slimline Deco chipboard album Click Here along with the matching Clear Scraps Chipboard Deco borders. Click Here

This album measure 5x11 inches. So we'll cut all our base papers at this size. I recommend using a strong permanent glue like Beacon 3 in 1. The papers I chose to decorate my album, are from Simple Stories Happy Hearts collection.

Next I painted both Deco border pieces with some light pink acrylic paint. After they dry, I applied some Distress Ink along the edges with my ink dabber. Then I adhered some L-O-V-E puffy stickers along the edge.

Next we can start decorating our front cover. I like to use a variety of ephermera, stickers and other embellishments. I cut my "Love" paper to measure 4x6 inches and adhered in the center of my album using foam tape. I fussy cut out the cappuccino image and applied to my paper using foam dots. I applied some Stickles glitter to the whipped cream on top. Then applied some Spectrum Noir Glossy highlights to the heart on my cup to add some dimension. I adhered the ephermera typewriter piece along the bottom of my page, using pop dots. The hearts and sentiment at the top.

For page 1: I took one of the journaling cards and scored 1/2" inch at the top and adhered as a flip up page. You could add photos on both top and bottom. I added a sentiment sticker at the top and a few chipboard sticker hearts at the bottom.

Page 2: I made a pocket that measures 5x5, punched the bottom hole. Added a border punch at the top edge of my pocket. Tucked a few journaling cards inside my pocket. Pop dots to the back of my typewriter ephermera piece.

Page 3: I cut down one of the journaling cards to measure 4 & 1/2 x 4 inches and scored 1/2 inch at the top. Adhered to the top of my page. I added a sticker sentiment and pop dots to my flower ephermera.

Page 4: I waterfall 5 of the tag cards, scored each one 1/2 inch at the top. Then adhered enamel colored dots over each hole on my tags. I adhered the Love you truck ephermera piece with foam dots at the bottom of my page. Added acouple heart stickers!

Page 5: I adhered another flip up journaling card and acouple ephermera pieces at the bottom with foam dots. Added a gumball machine sticker.

Page 6: I cut another pocket from one of the papers in the 6x8 paper pad. I trimmed it down to measure 5x7 inches. I glued a heart trim at the top of my pocket. Tucked a few journal cards and tag inside the pocket.

Page 7: I took a leftover word sentiment paper and cut it to 4x5 and adhered in the center of my page. Added a white cardstock photo mat measuring 3 & 1/2 inches x 4 on top. I adhered a X's and O''s sticker at the bottom. And a few puffy stickers on both top corners.

Page 8: I cut another photo mat measuring 3 & 1/2 x 3 & 1/2 inches and adhered towards the top of my page. Adhered a Love chipboard sticker sentiment. At the bottom I adhered another journaling card and with foam dots added a ephermera flag sentiment on the top along with the cute heart brad.

To cover all my Deco shape tabs along the edges, I glue some leftover strips of paper to each tab using Beacon 3 in 1 glue. After they have dried, I trimmed all edges with my x-acto knife and distressed along the edges till smooth.

To finish my album I added some metal rings and tied with heart ribbon and red tulle.

Here are some closeups!

I hope you have been inspired today and will start creating your own Slimline album. Thank you for stopping by the Clear Scraps blog! Check out the Clear Scraps website Click Here and see all the different types of Slimline albums available.

Vintage Recipe Album

Hi everybody! Leslie here, sharing a fun vintage recipe album featuring our Slimline Acrylic Tab Album! This mini collection of my favorite recipes has two each of Dessert, Meat, Veggie, Side and Soup/Stew. I have to say that the hardest part was narrowing down my favorites since I have so many, lol!

I printed the recipes on 32# copy paper, and printed the 2" square finished recipe images on glossy photo paper and cut them with a square die. I covered all the album pages with patterned papers after removing the protective film on both sides of each tabbed page. I inked the edges of each page and then roughed them up with the Large Sanding Stick for an old worn-out vintage feel.

I stamped the page contents on each tab in brown ink, adhered the recipes to each page, and affixed foiled photo corners on the corners of each photo. I embellished the front and back covers and all the pages with patterned paper strips and stickers, and also used thick alphabet letters for the word 'Recipes' on the front cover. I put the album together with binding rings and added ribbon scraps to each ring to complete the album.

Here are close-up shots. This was an easy project that would make a great birthday or anniversary gift, or maybe a gift for newlyweds!

Clear Scraps Scallop Slimline Album--Valentine Love Home Decor

Hi there everyone!  Ready for some Valentine's inspiration?

Laura here with you today to show you just that!

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Love You Valentine(1)This sweet little home decor project starts with the

Clear Scraps Chip Scallop Slimline Album.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Love You Valentine tutorial 1(1)

And you can spy a cute mini shaker and one of the great items

in the store that can be used on it's own or as a compliment to

the Slimline albums is the Curves Chipboard Border.  There are

many styles of these and you can find them all HERE.

Using these Slimline albums for home decor projects is a fun

way to create--and you can also make multiples for gifts!

You can cover them with paper, paint, ink, whatever you'd like.

Here I started with a layer of bright pink paint, then brushed

the edges with just a touch of white paint.  Then out came the

stencils!  They are a great way to add a fun touch to a project!

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Love You Valentine tutorial 2(1)

Using the 6" Fan Scroll stencil from Clear Scraps,

I used washi tape to cover the area around one of the

single hearts to make it easy to get a super clean image.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Love You Valentine tutorial 3(1)

I stenciled a heart in each scallop, and then painted the

border piece in a soft blue/green and glued that to the

top, taking care to leave the holes open for later.

Now it was time for some embellishing.  I used some

ephemera pieces, enamel dots, and of course, the

Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Double Hearts.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Love You Valentine copy

I painted the top of the shaker frame in white acrylic paint.

The solid back piece was traced on some sprinkle patterned

paper, cut out, and then glued on.  Then inside I added

some of the cute Sprinkles Love Mix from Clear Scraps.

Some pink organza ribbon was added to the holes on the

top to create a hanger and bows added to add a cute touch

and to cover the middle hole on the album piece.  You

could always just cover with paper or whatever, but I

thought the bow idea was fun too!

Clear Scraps Scallop Slimline Album--Hello Winter Home Decor

Hi there friends!  Laura here to share some inspiration

with you today!  Are you a fan of winter?  I'm generally not,

but it sure can be pretty at times!  And hey, any season that

gives me an excuse to craft cute home decor projects, well,

I'm all in!  I've got an "out of the box" project today!

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Hello Winter Decor(2)

This looks like it might be a 12x12 scrapbook page.  But it is

indeed a home decor item that you could put on an easel to

display, or add a ribbon to and hang up on your wall.

It starts with the Clear Scraps Chip Scallop Slimline Album.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Hello Winter Decor tutorial 1(1)

Yep, a mini album turned into a home decor project!

This pic shows the way I planned out the start.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Hello Winter Decor tutorial 2(1)

This is how the pieces would look once overlapped.

I found the easiest way to decorate was to do one section

at a time, rather than gluing everything together first.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Hello Winter Decor tutorial 3(1)

The base is a 12x12 piece of chipboard with a sheet of

kraft cardstock glued to it and inked.  After the first piece

of the album was decorated with paper and embellishments,

it was glued to the base.  Then I did the same with the other

2 pieces--but left the top edge unglued to create pockets.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Hello Winter Decor tutorial 4(1)

For embellishments along the bottom panel, I used some

Clear Scraps goodies that were the perfect addition!

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Hello Winter Decor close up 1(1)

This little cutie is the Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Snowman.

He's filled with a mixture of the Clear Scraps sequins from

the Winter (I pulled out red) and the Fall sequin mixes.

The scarf was made by using a couple of small scraps of

paper and cutting little fringe detail.  Another addition is

the Clear Scraps Word and Shape Winter Snowflake set.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Scallop Album_Hello Winter Decor close up 2(1)

These sets match the 3D Frameables from Clear Scraps,

but they also make great embellishments!  I painted

with acrylic paint, then added glitter for a little sparkle!

I created tags to slip in between the layers to add

pictures or journal memories. The mini clothespins

mean you can update the pictures yearly.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Accordion Album with Wood Card Cover

Hi everybody! Leslie here, sharing a sweet Summer accordion album featuring our Blank Wood Card as the cover. This album was a lot of fun putting together! The wood card is very versatile and the sky is the limit with what you can do with these!

I painted the cover with green chalk paint and lightly sanded vertically and horizontally on it to create a very subtle cross-hatch design. I used some awesome patterned papers, ribbon, and tons of embellishments, die cuts, and elements throughout. Most of the pages contain flat photo/journaling areas but I did create one pocket with a pull-out card on the last page.

Clear Scraps Slimline Tab Album--Dreamer Mixed Media

Hi there everyone!  Laura with you today to get those creative

juices flowing in the New Year with a little mixed media album!

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Tab Album_Dreamer Mini Album(1)

The perfect starting point for a great mixed media album is a

Slimline Album from Clear Scraps!  You can choose chipboard,

(this one is the Chip TAB Slimline), or acrylic or wood.

To create the distressed look on this project cover, I

started with a wash of distress paint in a soft green color.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Tab Album_cover tutorial 1(1)

Next step was to frame out the front cover a bit.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Tab Album_cover tutorial 2(1)

Bronze distress stain was brushed directly onto the edges.

The back cover got the same treatment.  To add to the

distressed appearance, a layer of Walnut Stain ink was applied.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Tab Album_cover tutorial 3(1)

I used a sponge applicator and brushed the entire surface and

heavily all around the edges.  Some black distress spray was

spattered on the surface, and blotted to keep the look soft.

The cover was embellished with some stamped gear images,

metal pieces, and the gorgeous clock face.  That one is the

Roman Clock Chipboard Embellishment from Clear Scraps.

It got the same treatment as the cover, just a little heavier

on the bronze color to give it that patina metal look.

Here is the peek at the inside pages...

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Tab Album_Dreamer page 1 & 2(1)

On the right side, it's a simple piece of cardstock cut to size, then

folded in half.  Love to add inserts to these albums!  And there's

a little something hiding behind that...

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Tab Album_Dreamer dragonfly(1)

This page is just something to look pretty in between.

Of course you could always add a pic or a journal card!

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Tab Album_Dreamer page 3 & 4(1)

I included some lined cards on this page to add thoughts or

prayer requests.  Can also add a page or two of lined paper

in here later as my lists for the year grow.

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Tag Album_Dreamer page 5 & 6(1)

A fun section to add ideas and thoughts for new projects!

Clear_Scraps_Slimline Tag Album_Dreamer page 7 & 8(1)

The final section is one to add thoughts on improvement,

health, volunteer opportunities, etc.

Hope you enjoyed hanging out today!

Snow Slimline Wood Mini Album

Tami here on the Clear Scraps blog with you today.

Do you get snow where you live? Here in Texas - especially here in South Texas - snow is a rarity. Last year was certainly an anomaly! We not only got snow, we KEPT getting snow and the snow stayed around for days! i have lived here my whole life and although I remember a few other snows, this one was something else!

I wanted to make a special mini album to document this event, so I selected Clear Scraps' Slimline Wood Tab Mini Album as my base...

I started by using color washes made from acrylic paint mixed with water to paint all the pages. I used a mix of blues and created ombre patterns on each.

For the front cover, I used a silver stencil paste and Clear Scraps' 6" Nordic Snowflakes to add a raised shimmery design at the top of the album cover. Once it was dry, I added some printed paper and my title using letters in chipboard and stickers.

I used white pigment ink to stencil snowflakes on all the pages as well...

Once all my pages were ready, it was time to decide what photos to use and what I wanted to journal. Here are pics of all the pages of my album..

Clear Scraps' Slimline albums come in chipboard, acrylic and wood. There are also several styles of each type. The large, tall size is great for vacations, holidays, birthdays, etc.

Hearth and Home Family/recipe Album

Hi Craft Friends!

I'm Dana and I'm happy to share some album inspiration with you. I think preserving family memories and maybe a favorite family recipe or two are so important and something you will cherish forever and pass on to the next generation. Clear Scraps has a variety of different albums to chose from. For today's project I'll be using Clear Scraps 8x8 tab Chipboard Album

The first step I did was to paint a 1 inch border around all edges of each chipboard album page, using a vintage white acrylic paint. Let dry.

Next I cut all my base papers to measure 7x7 and adhered to each of my album pages, including the front and back covers. I recommend using a strong and permanent glue, like Beacon 3 in 1 glue. The papers I used are Simple Stories Hearth and Home paper collection.

To decorate the front cover, I chose one of the 4x6 journaling cards and placed in the center of the front cover with foam dots. This adds dimension. I adhered 2 house puffy stickers over the 2 matching home images on my journaling card. Adhered the foam sentiment "gather" at the top right corner. Added acouple sticker hearts and a metal brad sticker to my journaling card image. Using pop dots, I adhered a sticker flower to the upper left corner on my cover page. Adhered 3 sticker sentiments at the upper right corner.

Page 1: (inside cover) I cut out one of the tags and scored 1/2 inch at the top and adhered to the top left of my page. Then added a metal brad at the top of my tag. You could add a photo or family memory card if you like to this page.

Page 2: I made a pocket page measuring 6x4 inches. Added a border punch edge at the top of my pocket before adhering. Tucked a recipe card aling wirh acouple journaling cards inside my pocket. I adhered a sticker sentiment to the tab on the right.

Page 3: I cut out 5 journaling cards and scored 1/2 inch at the top and waterfall adhered these to my page. Adhered a flag sentiment at the top left of my page.

Page 4: using another journaling card, I scored 1/2 inch at the top and adhered as a flip up page. Underneath I added a photo mat measuring 3 & 1/2 x 4 & 1/2 inches, and adhered this to my page. Added a cute birdie sticker at the bottom left of my photo mat. On the front of  my flip page, I glued acouple chipboard stickers over the matching images and added a sentiment sticker Rise and Shine at the top right. To finish off this page I adhered a few enamel dots at the bottom of my page and acouple sticker sentiments on both tabs.

Page 5: I cut out one of the recipe cards, scored a 1/2 inch at the top. Then adhered at the top of the page. Added 5 foam sticker hearts across the top of my recipe card. You could add a photo underneath the recipe card if you like. At the bottom I adhered some ephermera pieces using foam dots and a few stickers.

Page 6: Added a simple photo mat measuring 5 & 1/2 x 4 & 1/2 inches centered onto my page. I added a chipboard sticker "Home" at the top of my photo mat. Adhered a foam sticker sentiment and a few metal beads at the bottom. On both tabs I adhered sticker sentiments.

Page 7: I cut out another journaling card image, scored 1/4inch on the left side and adhered this along the left edge of my page. I added a few sticker sentiments stickers at the top of my flip card. And sticker sentiment on the tab area.

Page 8: Adhered a photo mat measuring 4 & 1/2 x 5 inches and adhered to the center of the page. Added some sticker sentiments, bench sticker and a photo.

To finish my album I added a few metal rings and some matching ribbons from my stash.

Good Cheer Christmas Chipboard Tag Album

Hi everybody! Leslie here, sharing one last Christmas project this year that features our Chipboard Tag Album with plenty of room for documenting those Christmas memories! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas - it's so hard to believe that it has come and gone! The real truth is that it'll be here again before we know it! You'll be seeing more Christmas projects from me in the upcoming months because Christmas is my favorite holiday and I create holiday cards and projects all year long!

This was an easy and super fun project! I covered the front and back sides of the four tags with Christmas papers, inked the edges and embellished each side with coordinating papers and images. There are pockets with pull-out cards and tags, as well as folders that open outward and upward... lots of open space for photos and journaling.

Christmas Joy Slimline Album

Hello Crafters!

I'm Dana and I'm happy to be back on the Clear Scraps blog!  Christmas is approaching fast. If you are looking for some Christmas gift ideas, I'm here to hopefully inspire you with how to create a Slimline style album using Clear Scraps Chipboard Scalloped Slimline album. Click Here and also using Clear Scraps Chipboard Star bulbs Click Here

To start this project, we will be covering all our base pages including the front cover and back with paper. All papers will measure 5x11 inches. I'm using Mintay's Merry and Bright collection. But any Christmas papers you have in your stash will work. I recommend using a strong permanent glue like Beacon 3-1 glue. Paint all tabs with cream acrylic paint.

Next cut apart one of your Clear Scraps Chipboard star bulbs from the pack. We will only be using one of the star bulbs for this project. You can save the other bulb for a future project. Using acrylic paint in gold metallic, apply paint on the hanging string and top of your star bulb. Then apply glue to the bow and sprinkle gold glitter on top. Shake off any excess glitter. Apply glue to the ornament bulb and sprinkle with green glitter. Shake off access glitter. Set aside to dry.

Next I fussycut the mistletoe image from the ephermera sheet. Ink edges and apply foam dots to the back. Glue this piece on top of duplicate image on your front cover. Then take and add foam dots to the back of your chipboard Star bulb and adhere on the front of your album. Then apply some sticker sentiments onto front tabs. To finish the front cover, I added acouple sentiment chipboard stickers on the top and bottom of my cover.

Here's a close-up:

Page 1: I made a pocket page, cut at 5x 4 & 1/2 inches, punched my bottom hole before adhering. Using a border punch,  I added a gold metallic border to the top edge of my pocket. I fussy cut out a pointsetta image from leftover scrap paper and adhered to top left side of my page, using foam dots. Applied some Stickles glitter to leaves and stamens. Tucked a journaling card inside my pocket. Added a sentiment chipboard sticker in the middle of my pocket.

Page 2: Adhered a cream cardstock photo mat measuring 4 x 6 and adhered to the center of my page. Added a chipboard sticker flag to top of my photo mat. Sentiment sticker to the bottom of my photo mat. Then glued acouple small flowers on each side of my sentiment. Add a sticker border along the edge.

Page 3 & 4 :

I couldn't bear to cover up these pretty papers so I left these pretty basic. I fussy cut one of the cute elves and adhered to the top left page using foam dots. Then glued a small pom pom to the top of his hat. Applied Stickles glitter to his collar and fur on his hat. I fussy cut a blue bulb ornament and using foam dots adhered this on top of the duplicate image on the left side of page 3. Add border stickers on each sides.

Pages 4: I cut a scrap paper measuring 4 x 8 1/2 inches, score 1/2 inch at the right side and adhere at the right side as a flip page. Inside I added a photo mat 3 x 5 1/2 inches and adhered to the center of my page. Then added acouple stickers, one on the inside flap of my flip page and one on top of my photo mat. I glued another small pom pom to the little elves hat!

Page 6: I cut another photo mat measuring 3 & 1/2 x 4 inches and adhered to the center of my page. I added a flag sentiment sticker at top left side of my photo mat. Adhered 2 other sentiment chipboard stickers to the upper right corner of my page. Fussy cut a ornament image from the ephermera sheet and applied at the bottom of my page. Fussy cut the snowflake cookie and adhered on top of my ornament image eith foam dots. Glued a silver gem in the middle of my snowflake! Adhered border stickers along each edge of both pages.

Pages 7: I didn't want to cover up this cute paper lol  so all I did was add a sentiment chipboard sticker at the top of my page.

Page 8: I took 5 journaling cards and scored 1/2 inch at the top.  For the Santa journaling card,  I  stapled a ticket onto my card before adhering to my page. Then adhered them all as a waterfall onto my page. Added a sentiment flap sticker on the top right of my page. Added some Stickles glitter to my Santa fur and beard!

To finish this album, I tied some red sparkle tulle, gold and green mesh ribbon through the holes of my album. I hope you have been inspired today and will create a treasured album to enjoy for years to come!

Christmas Acrylic Deco Slimline Album

Hello friends! The Christmas countdown is on with only a week left to go! Do you have your shopping finished? I am so behind this year but its ok as it will all get done.  Today, I'm sharing a Christmas themed mini using the    Acrylic Deco Slimline Album!  At first, I had planned to create a Christmas countdown/December Daily album but decided against it.  I thought I would have an album to add photos and journaling to at a later date.

I left the front cover of the album "bare" but did add the new Scallop Rectangle Mini Shaker Shape! Not only did I fill the center with sequins, but inserted die cuts and stickers as well! You can also see the Fancy Chipboard Borders that I painted with white acrylic paint and adhered using my Beacon 3 in 1 Adhesive.

Each page measures 5.5 x 11 so I cut my background pages to 4.5 x 10.5 inches. This gave enough room for the deco tabs to not be covered by patterned paper.  I then added spaces for journaling and or photos.

Here, I utilized one of the longer list cards of the collection I used to create a page about things I love about Christmas!

For my mini albums, I always love inserting something different for a page such as a pocket or flap. Here, I used paper to sew a pocket to store photos and tags for journaling.

Most of my photos I mat with white cardstock and plan them to be 4x4 or 4x5. I also usually will layer extra patterns under my photo mat as well along with embellishments.
