Hello Craft Friends!
So happy you joined us today. I have a DIY Home Decor project to share. I'm using some of the new products released recently from Clear Scraps!
I love to decorate my home to celebrate the fall season, don't you? Today's project we'll be using Clear Scraps Pumpkin Medium DIY Pallet Shape Click here and some of the new Clear Scraps Embellishments Chipboard Punchouts Click here And also one of the Clear Scraps Garden Tools Embellishments.
The papers I chose to use are an older paper collection Carta Bella "Hello Autumn "
To start our project, I took some Tim Holtz Distress paint- Peeled paint and applied to the pumpkin stem. Let dry. See photo:
Next chose acouple patterned papers and cut and glue to each pallet section on your wood pumpkin. Taking my xaco knife I trimmed away any excess paper, see photo:
and distressed any rough edges. Then apply some Tim Holtz Distress Ink Rusty Hinge around the edges. Repeat this step for each pallet section. See photo:
Set your wood pumpkin aside for now. take your Garden tools chipboard embellishment and cut away the rake. You can save the other chipboard embellishments for other projects.
I applied some Prima Chalk Ink in Knotted Wood on the handle and Pastel Brown on the bottom rake. Let dry.
Next punchout the Chipboard Leaf and Hello Fall pieces from your punch outs. Save the other chipboard embellishments for future projects.
On the Chipboard leaf, I applied Orange, brown, yellow and green Inks and blended slightly using my finger. See photo:
Once your leaf is dried, add foam dots on the backside and adhere on the second pallet section in the center. Take your Hello Fall Chipboard punchout sentiment and glue on the left side on the center section. I took the Chipboard Rake and glued at a slight angle over the middle and bottom sections. Here's a closeup!
On the left side on the bottom section, I glued a Chipboard truck sticker. To finish I glued acouple Prima Marketing leaves and a flower around the top stem. Here's a photo!
You can add a metal hanger on the backside or just display your pumpkin on an easel stand.
My finished project!
I hope you enjoyed my project and are inspired to create one to display in your home!
