Hi there everyone! Laura here with you today to share a cute idea for a Halloween time greeting!
This easel card is as simple as it is adorable! Would be a great thinking of you, Halloween or a Halloween birthday card for a friend or family member! It starts with a 6x6 size base of white cardstock (12" x 6" then folded in half to create a 6x6"). Take this base and score the top/front of the card at 3" and fold. This creates the "easel" you'll attach the front piece to. You cut an additional 6x6" square of white cardstock to use as the front piece.
This front was decorated using a 5&1/2 x5&1/2" piece of patterned paper matted on a 5&3/4x5&3/4" piece of black cardstock and then adhered to the card front. A decorative strip (the fence look border) was matted onto black cardstock and adhered to the bottom edge. A sticker was added using foam tape, and then enamel dots. This 6x6" front piece was then glued to the folded front of the easel card base. Another decorative strip and stickers were added to the bottom of the inside of the card to add the place to hold the easel open.
The cute centerpiece of this card is the Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Bat.
The front frame was painted with black acrylic paint. The back was traced onto a fun bat patterned paper, cut out, and adhered to the back piece. The frame layers were attached and some shiny matching sprinkles/sequins were added, then the acrylic layer (remember to peel the protective coating off both sides!) was added and finally the painted frame. A sticker was the finishing touch. It's ready to give to spread some Halloween/holiday cheer!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
