Hello, fellow crafters! Jennifer here, bringing you a festive Christmas mixed media tag. I absolutely adore creating these tags—they're quick, easy, and make the perfect addition to any gift. You can even craft a little pocket to tuck in a gift card or enhance your home decor. Let’s get creative and add some sparkle to the season!
embellisment chipboard punch out
For this project, I chose a chipboard tag from the 4-pack album and a charming tree from the chipboard embellishment punch-outs. I began by tracing the tag onto festive Christmas paper, then cut it out, adhered it to the tag, and meticulously trimmed the edges. To give it a vintage touch, I inked the edges with rich brown StazOn ink.
I then gathered a delightful assortment of embellishments: delicate flowers, intricate metal snowflakes, vibrant ribbon, and sparkling colored cabochons. Starting with the ribbon, I added it to the bottom of the tag, then artfully arranged the flowers and other elements to frame the lower portion of the Christmas image on the tag.
Next, I painted the tree in a beautiful turquoise shade to complement the paper and adorned it with colored cabochons and glittering Stickles, adding that perfect touch of festive sparkle. Then I added it to the tag.
To finalize the project, I chose a festive ribbon to thread through the top, adding the perfect finishing touch to this delightful Christmas creation.
I hope this has sparked your creativity to craft your own mixed media gift tag or home decor piece. Remember, it’s never too early to dive into your Christmas projects and add a personal, festive touch to your celebrations!
