Hello, crafters! It’s Jennifer on the blog today, sharing a mini album I created using the 6x6 tab album and leftover "Sunshine on My Mind" paper from Graphic 45. This charming tab album offers plenty of space for photos, journaling, and capturing those delightful summer moments.
First, I meticulously traced, cut, and dressed each chipboard piece with beautiful paper from the collection. Then, I refined the edges with an X-Acto knife for a crisp finish and added a touch of black ink to the sides, giving the pieces a polished look.
On the back side of the front cover, I crafted a 6x3 piece of black cardstock, adding a touch of character by tearing a small section from the edge. I glued the bottom and sides to create a stylish pocket. Next, I adorned the front with vibrant paper, again securing just the sides and bottom for a second pocket. To complete the look, I tucked in some charming tags into both pockets, adding an extra layer of delight. On the opposite side, I created a photo mat and added lovely embellishments to enhance its charm.
On the back side of the first tab, I cut a 5x3 piece of black cardstock and scored it at the 1/2 inch mark on the 5-inch side, attaching it to the chipboard to create a flap. Next, I embellished the flap with paper and die cuts from the collection. To finish it off, I added an envelope I made and tucked in a few tags for added charm. For the front of the second tab, I crafted a pocket and tucked in some tags and papers for plenty of photo opportunities.
On the back of the second tab, I added a photo mat and embellished it die cuts. On the opposite side, I created a diagonal pocket, embellished and tucked in even more tags for extra flair.
Using a chipboard frame, I glued the sides and bottom to secure a place for a future picture and adorned the frame with embellishments. On the opposite side, I added another photo mat, enhancing it with paper and die cuts from the collection. This mini album is one of my favorites! I adore the simple yet detailed pages that provide so many opportunities to capture those special summer moments. I hope you feel inspired to create your own charming summer mini album! ~ Jennifer
