Hello everyone! Laura here with you today to share a little inspiration for one of the Clear Scraps Shaker Tags!
These are so fun and so easy to make! They are so unique too! You start with the basic tag and layers.
Being neutral chipboard gives these a great canvas to become whatever you'd like and match any project or idea you have! This is the Shaker Tag Butterfly, there are several others that you can choose from--even a basic circle. You can find them all in the Clear Scraps Store HERE.
For this project, the tag was traced and cut out of a pretty floral patterned paper. You could easily use acrylic paints, or a spray or other mixed media type supplies. They work great with stencils too. The frame of the butterfly was painted with soft blue acrylic paint. If you choose to you can do the same, or something different on the back of the tag. It depends on whether you are using it on a scrapbook page, or as a gift tag, or in a mini album, etc. as to whether you'd like to do that. The frame layers are glued together front and back, and in this case, there are sequins added between the layers of acrylic. Just a friendly reminder to peel the protective plastic off of the acrylic pieces on BOTH sides!
A few finishing touches here, some pretty flower ephemera (attached with foam tape), a sprinkling of pearls here and there, sentiment stickers, and finally, some coordinating organza and satin ribbon thru the top of the tag. This would be a great addition to a scrapbook page, or a lovely gift tag for a gift bag to add an extra bit of fun to a gift instead of the everyday card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
