This is the NEW Clear Scraps Mason Jar Lid! These are such a great idea for gifts for any occasion! Just imagine the different options you can create! And that's because guess what??!!
This set has several Mason Jar Lid inserts! And they are what comes in the Mason Jar Lid set along with the frame! So you can gift a "set" of inserts to change out with the seasons/occasions! The cute chipboard pieces (the tree, the acorn and the snowflake) are another new addition to the Clear Scraps Store. Check out the What's NEW section!
This is created similarly to the Clear Scraps Mini Shakers--it comes with several layers to glue together to create the sides of the lid, then a top ring that is slightly smaller so it will fit the insert just right. I painted the sides of the rings before I glued it together and then again after it was glued. I used gray paint and then brushed the edges with black distress ink. The insert was painted orange and then decorated with the new chipboard shapes and a few stickers.
This winter version is similar, using another of the new chipboard sets with this pretty snowflake. So simple, just paint and embellish. I added a layer of glitter glue and a gem to dress it up just a bit. One of the thinks I love about these new lids. Less is more! Just a few simple touches and they are good to go! Just pop on top of a mason jar filled with candy, crafty supplies, office supplies, whatever you'd like! These are awesome going into the gift giving seasons--they'd make great hostess gifts or great favors at a party!
