Hi there everyone! Laura here with ya today to talk about the amazing Printer Trays that Clear Scraps has to offer!
These are such fun options to use to create a piece of home decor you can display year round! Especially if you want to highlight just a few of your favorite pictures from a vacation, outing or event! The tray used in this project is the Rectangle/Square Printer Tray Frame. This one is a fave because you can use full size pics and leave all of the length if you'd like. The height is around 3&1/2 inches so you only have to trim a wee bit. You can always put photos in every single square/opening if you'd like as well. They are fun to do this way also, with embellishments--almost like a full scrapbook page. The best way to start, is to paint the top frame piece and set aside to dry (you can spray with ink, stencil, stamp, etc as well). Next up as that dries--work on the layout.
I used strips of paper like pictured. Cut to fit the space in whatever pattern you'd like. I find it's super easy to do this rather than individual squares for each space, but that works too! You then glue on the pieces of frame to build your base, but wait on the acrylic and top frame, because you want to fill your squares! Here are a few examples of what I did on this project.
You can see here how some stickers and embellishments are on the inside of the frame, and some are then on the outside after it's fully assembled. I use foam tape both inside and outside. Plenty of room! You can throw in some sequins or something similar if you'd like too! I went for the cleaner look here.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are inspired to try your own Printer Tray! You can find more styles to try also HERE in the Clear Scraps store!
