Recipe Memory-Dex DIY Wood Box
March 29, 2023
Hello friends! Its Jennifer back on the blog to share one of the Memory-Dex DIY Boxes with you! If you have not had a chance to create with these, you must try them! There are four different styles of boxes to choose from and both acrylic and chipboard dividers!
After assembling my box, I painted all sides (including the inside) with brown acrylic paint. I added a touch of water to give it a "stained" look. Then using my Beacon Adhesive, I adhered patterned paper to the sides and front of the wood. For accent, I added the inside circle of the Vine Circle Chipboard Embellishment Shapes to the front of the 6 Inch Regular Memory-Dex DIY Box.
I decorated the Vintage Chipboard Dividers using black acrylic paint and patterned paper on both sides. I used these mainly for my accent divider cards.
To separate out my recipes, I used the Rounded Tab Chipboard Dividers as shown here.
Since I could not use regular size recipe cards, I decided to type out my favorites onto tags and place them behind my dividers.
For breakfast, I created a pocket for my tags using the Regular Tab Chipboard Divider.
I tried to keep my embellishments simple and not overpower my dividers. I do love how the black makes the colors of the collection I used pop!
For my dinner tags, I did include one with favorite go to places that we love to eat out. My husband is definitely the cook in our family! LOL
