Lucky to Be Irish Memory-Dex
March 11, 2023
One of the more carefree holidays I enjoy is St. Patrick's Day. There's green food, fun beverages and goofy things to wear. Right up my alley! Hi, I'm Maureen, and I enjoy this holiday also because I'm part Irish.
I wanted to have fun with some crafts this month, so I decided to put together some cheery Irish themed cards using the new Clear Scraps Memory-Dex line of products. First up, I chose some of the Rounded Tab Chipboard dividers to decorate. These are fun and sturdy, allowing me the freedom to glue, paint, color or simply embellish!
I'm covering both in a base paper, trimming the prongs out at the bottom with a detail scissors. One is a green plaid and the other are a couple stripes of card stock, made to look like Ireland's flag. I've taken some shamrock die cuts and stamped sentiments to the papers and dusted them with ink. The designs are complete with some twine, stamps and floral embellishments glued across the front.
Next, I picked out one of the Rounded Acrylic Dividers to work with. I wanted this card to have some bling! The fun part of the acrylic cards are the ability to create a see-through project. I decided to add a shaker foam die cut from a set I have in my stash. This is a rainbow foam shape that I have filled with beads in assorted colors. Next, I add an acetate sheet over the top.
My final steps were to add some glitter paper on top and a fun sentiment across the image. You can see from both sides and it rattles when you shake it. So fun!
When you're done decorating your cards, consider adding them to one of the DIY Memory-Dex Wood Boxes and display them throughout the holiday or Spring season. I think a Spring blossom box would be so much fun for these projects!
Here is a list of additional supplies below. I hope you have a fun time celebrating Spring with this project - see you next time!
