Clear Scraps--Mini Shaker--Cuppa Love To Go Home Decor

The Magic of Winter Album

Hello Craft Friends!

The New Year brings more inspiration from our Design Team and new Craft products from Clear Scraps! I love to Craft anytime of the year!

Where I live, the Winter season is upon us. That means snow, and colder temperatures! I hope my album project will bring warmth to your heart and inspiration!

Today we will be using the Clear Scraps Mixed Layer Tab Album Click here and the Mini Shaker Snowflake embellishment Click here

The paper collection I'll be using is Stamperia "Sweet Winter" I love the vintage images and ephemera. I'm using both the 8x8 and 12x12 paper pads.

To begin our project, I chose several coordinating papers to cover all the pages in this album. I cut my papers to measure 8 x 6 &1/2 inches. I'll be inking all my papers using Distress Ink Gathered Twigs.

There are 2 acrylic pages in this album, so be sure to peel off the protective film from both sides before adhering your paper to the page. Also be mindful of both sides of paper you want to be seen. I use any clear tape runner to attach my papers to my acrylic.

Forthe chipboard pages, I recommend using a strong permanent glue like Beacon glue. Make sure you punch all your holes along the sides, before gluing your paper down. Set your album aside for now.

Remove your shaker pieces from your package. Taking your bottom shaker piece, I cut out one of the circle sentiments in the paper pad. Then glued it to the bottom piece. For my top shaker piece, I sprinkled on some Martha Stewart Pink Blush and White confetti over the top shaker piece. Let dry. Then I glued some Starburst gems onto each of the Snowflake spheres. Now take the next two shaker pieces and glue in place. Fill your shaker with sequins, beads, or any other shaker filler of your choice. I used some Snowflake confetti pieces. Take your acrylic shaker piece and peel off the protective film from both sides. Then carefully apply on top of the previous shaker layer. Glue the top shaker piece in place. Leave your shaker undisturbed (dont shake) until fully dry.

Front cover of album: I applied some foam tape to the back of my shaker embellishment, then adhered towards the top and center of my cover. I cut out one of the sentiments from my paper pad and adhered on the upper right corner. I added a cute Snowflake charm on top and covered the hole on my charm with a blue crystal gem! Here's a closeup!

To finish my front cover, I applied this cute little vintage girl at the bottom of my cover, using foam dots. Next to her, I glued a present diecut sticker and chipboard flower. Here's a closeup!

Open up your album to the front back cover. (Acrylic page) I chose not to decorate this page. The paper was too pretty to cover up! Here's how my page looks:

Page 2: I fussy cut out a sentiment piece and adhered at the top left side. I cut one of my Scrap papers with the cabin/mountains, and adhered onto the bottom tab area. I cut our one of the smaller Journaling cards and glued in the center of my page, at a slight angle. Then added this floral diecut sticker with the ice skates, along the bottom right edge of my page. Here's acouple closeups!

Page 3: I adhered a diecut sticker with the couple/sleigh, and adhered this above the sentiment on my page.

Page 4: I waterfalled 5 of the Journaling cards on the page. I applied some sparkle trim along the top edge of my waterfall cards. I cut out another sentiment and applied foam dots on the back, before adhering to my page. You could add photos to the back of your waterfall cards if you chose.

Page 5: (acrylic) i applied foam dots to both the cuckoo clock and kitty before adhering on my page. There's room to add a photo here if you desire.

Page 6: I adhered a chipboard sentiment at the top with foam dots. I also applied foam dots to the back chipboard piece along the bottom of my page.

Back Cover: I covered with this pretty paper and didn't add anything.

To finish this album,  I threaded some light blue, pink and white tulle, through each hole and then tied into a bow! You could add metal rings if you desire.

I hope you've enjoyed my project idea and will want to create your own album to celebrate the winter season! Be sure to check out the Clear Scraps website Click here
