Patisserie Mixed Banner Album
November 04, 2022
Hello Crafty Friends!
Happy November! This year has sure gone by fast right? I'm Dana and I'm back today with another album project for you featuring the Clear Scraps Mixed Banner Album. Click here
This album has acouple acrylic pages in addition to chipboard pages and border. If you haven't tried using acrylic and aren't sure how to start, I'll guide you through the process in this tutorial. The papers I chose to decorate my album, are from Graphic45 "Cafe Parisian" collection.
To begin, I chose one of the papers to cover both the front and back sides of my banner chipboard piece. I traced around the banner piece, cut and glued to the banner base. I recommend using Beacon glue. It has a strong bond and perfect when using chipboard. Then taking my xaco knife I trimmed away any excess paper. Then smooth any rough edges using a Distress tool or sanding tool.
Front Cover: I chose another paper measuring 5 & 1/2 x 7 & 1/2 inches. Punch both holes on the side before adhering your paper onto your cover. I recommend using a clear tape runner or Clear glue. Just be careful not to use too much glue or it will seep onto your acrylic edges. I adhered a Journaling card in the center with foam dots. Added a sentiment border from another paper and adhered at the top of my album cover. I fussy cut acouple cakes, candies and floral images.
Inked along the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs. Then adhered along the bottom of my Journaling card using foam dots.
Back of front cover: I added a pocket page measuring 5 & 1/2 x 7 & 1/2 inches. Added a sentiment border at the top edge of my pocket, a chipboard embellishment in the center of my pocket and a blue gem on top of the hole on my chipboard embellishment. Tucked a Journaling card inside my pocket.
Opposite page: adhered another paper measuring 6 & 1/2 x 8 inches onto my chipboard page. Added a cream cardstock photo mat measuring 3 & 1/2 x 5 inches, and glued in the center of my page. I added a chipboard sentiment piece at the top of my photo mat and fussy cut a cake image and using foam dots adhered at the bottom. I like to add some Stickles Stardust glitter to my cake and flowers to add some Sparkle!
Page 3: Journaling card adhered as a flip up page. I scored 1/2 inch at the top before adhering at the you of my page. Underneath my flip page I added a cream photo mat measuring 3 & 1/2 x 5 inches. Fussycut a cake, cookie and candy and adhered along the bottom right corner.
Page 4: I adhered another paper measuring 5 & 1/2 x 7 &1/2 inches. I left this page as is. I didn't want to cover this pretty paper lol.
Page 5: (Cherry paper) I adhered a small Journaling card at the bottom of my page. Fussy cut a cupcake image and added some foam dots before adhering on the left corner of my journal card. Added an epoxy sticker and fussy cut cherries to the top corner. I applied some Spectrum Noir Glossy highlights on my cherries. Stickles glitter Stardust to the top of my cupcake to resemble sugar!
Page 6: photo mat measuring 4 & 1/2 x 4 & 1/2 inches and glued in the center of my page. Added a chipboard piece at the top and a teal pearl gem over the hole in my chipboard piece. I also added a sentiment border along the bottom of my page and a cherry border piece along the bottom edge of my photo mat.
To finish this album, I threaded some pink and teal colored tulle through both holes and tied into a bow! I fussy cut out some dessert images and titles and glued onto the tabs on my banner piece.
Here are some closeups!
