Hi there everyone! Laura here with you today, to share a
project to get you ready for your Halloween decorating!
So many fun things on this project! It starts with
the Clear Scraps Square Shiplap Shape Large.
It's painted with green distress paint, then brushed
around the edges with black distress paint. After
this dried, then it was time to use the Clear Scraps
5x9 Leaves Stencil to create the background.
I shared this picture to show--even if you are afraid to
stencil--don't be! I was guesstimating how large I wanted
the background and needed it a little wider to do what
I wanted after I did the square. They are very forgiving!
Looks great! You'd never know about the "mistake".
I wanted it to look like it had a frame on here. You
could find an inexpensive frame to give it more
dimension. I made a 1/4" frame out of black cardstock
and then made the focal point center square.
Along with the journal card, ephemera and stickers,
the Clear Scraps chipboard makes an adorable addition!
The Ghost Chipboard Embellishments are painted with
white acrylic paint and brushed with gray distress ink.
A little foam tape really helps to make them pop!
The "Spooky" Chipboard Word Title is painted in
green distress paint, and brushed with a little
white on top and bottom to bring it out against
the darker background. Make sure not to miss
these in the Clear Scraps store! There is such a
huge variety of both! You can find the Chipboard
Embellishments HERE and the Word Titles HERE.
The third little ghost is peeking out from behind the corner of
the center area. So great that you get three in the one package!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
