Hi there everyone! Laura here with you today to share a
super simple Halloween Decor project! It's a fun one
to create whether you're a seasoned crafter or just
learning to create home decor!
It starts with selection of the base piece. Clear Scraps has
so many options!! There are shiplap shapes (you can find
them HERE). They also have shapes for different holidays
and occasions, and in addition, have a huge selection of the
pallet shapes like the one used here. For this project I chose
the Square Medium DIY Pallet Shape, which is a great basic
to start with. You can find more choices HERE as well.
Next up, how do you want to cover it? Paint? Paper? Stain?
Or? Sky is the limit here. One of the things I love. You can
make this project your own! For this piece, I used a couple
of coordinating patterned papers. Spooky with a splash of
color! After these were trimmed to size and edges brushed
with some distress ink, they are glued down. Super simple!
Then it was time to add a few little embellishment touches!
A single 3x4 journal card, edges inked, and a few stickers popped
up with foam tape are about as easy as you can get! Then came
the Clear Scraps Chipboard Embellishments!
These adorable little cuties are the Clear Scraps
Jack O Lantern Chipboard Embellishments!
They were painted with orange and black acrylic
paint, and then I layered some black cardstock
behind each pumpkin to created the faces. After
they are dry, they are glued to the project, the
smaller pumpkin popped up a bit with foam tape,
and a cute twine bow added to each one. A pretty
glittery Halloween bow finishes it all off.
Super simple, super cute!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
