Hello Crafty Friends!
Dana here! I'm back on the Clear Scraps blog to share my album project using one of the newest chipboard albums from Clear Scraps! The envelope chipboard Click here
This album is versatile and can be used two ways. The envelope flap can be flipped horizontal or vertically.
The papers I chose to use are from Echo Park "Day in the Life" collection. This album measures 6 & 1/2 x 8 inches. The envelope flap measures 8 inches across.
To begin, I chose several coordinating papers to cover all my pages including the envelope flap. I recommend using Beacon glue to adhere your paper to your album. This glue is made to use with chipboard and has a strong bond. Make sure to punch your holes at the top of each paper before adhering to your album pages. I inked all my papers using Distress Ink Gathered Twigs.
I cut out some of the Journaling cards I wanted to use and paper clipped them together. I left some pieces intact to make flip cards for the inside of our album.
I started decorating the front cover using a few stickers and applying foam dots on the back before adhering to my album cover. For the "Let's get planning " sticker, I mounted it onto one of my Scrap papers before adhering on the left side.
Envelope flap: using foam dots I adhered my ephemera piece in the center of my envelope flap. Added this cute tiny clip sticker at the top and a few enamel dots on the bottom of my envelope flap.
Inside envelope flap: I glued an ephemera sentiment piece in the center and added a few more enamel dots at the top!
Page 1 at the top: I took one of the small Journaling cards, scored 1/2 on the left and adhered to the left side. Then added "Enjoy Today" sticker in the upper right corner.
Page 2: I made a pocket page and added some light blue tassel trim along the top edge. Tucked a few Journaling cards inside my pocket and adhered a tiny tag sentiment on the left side of my pocket and an enamel dot!
Page 3: I scored a Journaling card in half and adhered it on the left side, using foam dots I adhered another journal card on the right. Applied some tiny enamel dots in scattered places and added a sticker sentiment at the bottom.
Page 4: I decorated my page with more Journaling cards adding pop dots to raise some of my images. Fussy cut around the "Good Vibes" journal card, inked the edges using Distress Ink and pop dot the tiny clip on the lower corner.
Page 5: I waterfall 5 journal cards in the center. There's room on the back to add photos and some Journaling. I adhered some tiny flag stickers at the top on the left side and another sentiment sticker on the right, and enamel dot.
Page 6: I scored another Journaling card in half to create a flip page that opens to the right. There's room to jot down daily notes. Using foam dots I adhered the sticker alarm clock and cut a "Day in the Life" sentiment from one of my paper borders and glued below my alarm clock image. At the top I applied this flag sentiment sticker using foam dots on the back.
Page 7: scored 1/2 inch at the top of a larger Journaling card and adhered at the top of my page. I cut a photo mat using white cardstock and measuring 3 & 1/4 x 4 & 1/2 inches underneath my journal card and added a few sticker sentiments on the bottom edge of my photo mat.
Page 8: cut another photo mat measuring 3 & 1/2 x 4 inches and adhered to my page, added acouple sticker sentiments. Adhered a ephemera sentiment added foam dots to the back and adhered on the left side.
To finish this album, I added 2 silver metal rings and tied some light blue ribbon onto each ring!
Here's some closeups for you!
