Twinkle Twinkle - Bailey 12x12 Layout
August 29, 2022
Hello, it's Kristin here and I am thrilled to be sharing my first project for the Clear Scraps Design Team. I love to scrapbook and when I do, I like to challenge myself to use product and papers that I love that don't necessarily suit my needs. For this layout I used a baby-themed paper for a doggie layout. This was a very layout that came together relatively quick once I had my shaker made.
I used the Dog Bone Shaker that you can find here: Dog Bone Shaker. I used some white acrylic paint from my stash to paint around the edges. I painted around the inner and outer edges of each layer as well. I backed the shaker with a pink patterned paper with teeny tiny hearts on it. I then made my own shaker mix (dog bones, pink cupped, white cupped, clear cupped and paw print sequins). I then glued the acrylic piece to the top layer and set it aside. Next, I glue the other three layers together, added the sequin mix and then attached the top of the shaker. I love how cute it turned out!
The sky is the limit with the Clear Scraps SHAKERS! - I love that you can fill them with so many different things and whatever you decide to back the shakers with can dramatically change the look!
For this layout, I started with a white cardstock base and added brown, gold and yellow splatters using different sprays from my stash. I then we to my 6x8 paper pad and started layering random, different sized strips of patterned paper until I liked how it looked. Before I glued them down, I distressed the edges.
Finally, I added all the embellishments. For fun, I added a few of the little bone sequins. The 3x4 card that I used seemed appropriate for the photo of my little Bailey Girl getting ready for a nap.
I'd love to hear what you think of this project, so please feel free to leave a comment below letting me know what you think. Please let me know if you have any questions and, be sure to join the Clear Scraps Facebook group!
