Ice Cream Truck Chipboard Album

When I was growing up, there was nothing more exciting than hearing the ice cream truck coming down the street!  Do you have memories of summers like that?  Hi, it's Maureen on the blog today, and I have an idea for you that will allow you to capture all those special summer memories!

This adorable ice cream truck comes to life with the amazing new chipboard albums by Clear Scraps.  I saw the shape of the Banner Chipboard Album and couldn't wait to get started creating a pink and white canopy, just like on an ice cream truck.  With this, and the cute papers by Echo Park, your album will come together in no time!

For the front of the album, I'm using a white card stock, along with pink and black, and tracing the front of the album in pencil.  Cut these pieces out and glue them with your favorite adhesive.  For the tires, I've used a nesting circle die cut and cut a smaller white shape to be the inside of my tires.  And the tire rims?  Those are a pink heart die cut, cut into two!

For the Summer Sunshine page, I'm making a pocket out of a coordinating printed paper, adding a title, and then a tag card where you can add journaling or another photo to pull out of the album.  Having the twine peek out at the top is super cute!  I've also chosen an ice cream cone die cut to add a photo - and pop dots give this dimension, along with some stickers.

Colorful photos deserve colorful pages, and this Ice Pops page looks like another item you might choose from an ice cream truck.  Here I've chosen a couple patterned papers side by side, and a circle die cut with a sticker as an embellishment.  Don't you love how the truck wheels peek out underneath?

This page is another layout using more patterned papers and some fun stickers, but this time I chose the popsicle wood piece from the Wood Summer Collection.  This is covered with a pink and patterned paper and then tied up so cute with a couple colorful twine pieces.  I've also dusted the edges with some ink, where it looks like a bite was taken.  What an adorable addition for an ice cream truck theme!  Here is a close up of the popsicle wood shape.

The entire album is brought together with some 2" Chrome Book Rings - you can find some of these on the Clear Scraps site for your albums too!

The possibilities are endless with the styles of these new books.  I hope you get a chance to make an album to document those important Summer memories.  Thanks for your time today - see you next time!

Maureen
