Hello Craft Friends!
It's Dana and I'm back to share another Home Decor project with you. I love to decorate my home for every season! Today we'll be using several different products from Clear Scraps. For our base I chose Clear Scraps 12x12 Printer Tray Rectangle Click here
To begin our project, I applied some creamy acrylic paint to the front shaker frame and my chipboard Deco border. I prefer to apply 2 coats of paint and after it's fully dried, I inked the edges using Distress Ink.
After my border is fully dry, I took my mixer leaves stencil and securely taped my stencil in place using some washi tape.
Then taking some Tim Holtz Distress Ink-mowed lawn , I applied my Distress Ink over some of the leaves, using my ink dabber. Set these pieces aside for now.
Next from my Botanical paper collection, I cut and glued my papers behind each window of my bottom layer chipboard Printer frame piece. I recommend using Beacon 3 in 1 Glue. It's fast drying and has a strong bond. Then I glue this bottom piece onto the back base of my Printer Tray. Glue your next chipboard frame piece on top of the previous layer.
Now I cut apart one of my Clear Scraps Fancy Butterflies chipboard embellishments, I had leftover from a previous project. But you could use both butterfly chipboard embellishments if you like. I added some yellow and green glitter to my chipboard butterfly wings. Then set aside to dry.
Now the fun begins and we can add our embellishments. I like to use some fuzzy cut elements and ephemera pieces using foam dots to adhere to the different sections of my printer tray. I added a stamp, and even glued some Butterflies to my chipboard Deco border piece. I chose to add a photo of my mother inside one of the windows too for a personal touch!
Now you can add your acrylic layer, but remember to peel off the protective film from both sides of your acrylic sheet, before gluing in place. Now you can glue your final top layer in place! Then I took my Deco border piece and glued along the bottom edge of my Printer Tray.
To finish your project, I added a jute cord on the back and now it's ready to display on your wall!
