Disney Layout with Mini Snow Globe Shaker

HiYa!

Tami here with you on the Clear Scraps blog and I have a project I'd like to share with you.

Clear Scraps has a LARGE selection of chipboard shakers and they can be used on a variety of projects. You can use them to embellish cards, mixed media projects, make fridge magnets, mini wall decor and MORE. You can also use them on your scrapbook layouts to add an interactive detail.

I saw the Snow Globe Mini Shaker and thought that Mickey's Magic Castle would look great inside it. Take a look...

Here is a closer look at the shaker...

I painted the "glass" part of the top layer of the shaker white and the base black. I also added a row of white dots using a gel pen around the base.

I adhered a piece of yellow cardstock to the base, then added the castle sticker and a few star stickers around it.

I filled the shaker with black and white sequins before assembling it.

Be sure that you remove the protective film from BOTH sides of Clear Scraps acrylic products. I like to remove the film one side at a time as I assemble the shaker so I avoid getting adhesive on the other side while I am putting it together.

To finish the shaker I added a few more fussy cut and sticker embellishments.

The layout itself was made from large strips of printed papers to create a colorful base. Then I added stickers and paper embellishments to accent the layout. I fussy cut the banner pieces out of printed paper and adhered them with pop dots to add dimension. I doodled the string for the balloon sticker down the side of the layout.

Dimensional layouts like this one are GREAT to display! Clear Scraps makes some 12 X 12 clear acrylic Page Displays that are just the thing to use to display your creations!
