Springtime Acrylic Layout

Hello Crafters!

Can you believe March is already here? That means Spring is just around the corner! I have a springtime layout project idea to share with you today.

We will be using Clear Scraps acrylic 12x12 sheet Click Here along with Clear Scraps Wood Flower shape Click Here

The papers I chose to decorate my layout are from Maggie Holmes "Garden Party" collection. I'll also be using matching stickers and ephermera from this collection.

To start I cut a green gingham 12x12 paper to measure 8x8 inches. Peel off  the protective film from both sides of your acrylic before adhering your paper to the back of your acrylic sheet. I like to use a clear vellum tape on my acrylic sheet so it doesn't show through.

Then take another coordinating paper. Trace around your wood flower shape and adhere your paper to your flower shape using Beacon 3 in 1 glue.  I trimmed and removed any excess paper from my wood flower shape, using an xacto knife. Then with my sanding tool,  I distressed around all the edges until smooth.

I applied foam squares on the back of my flower shape. I applied some green distress ink around the edges of my flower,  before adhering to the center front side of my acrylic sheet. Then I added a photo in the center of my flower shape, using foam dots. I applied some flower stickers in all four corners of my acrylic sheet.

Now the fun part is decorating your layout. I like to use a variety of ephermera, stickers and sentiments. I add foam dots to some of my elements on my layout, to add more dimension and character.  If you prefer, you could punch holes on the top of your acrylic sheet, add a ribbon and display your layout on your wall!
