Hola,
Tami here on the Clear Scraps Blog today with a project to share.
Spring is has not officially arrived, but here in Texas, the green is definitely springing out! You can find it in the trees starting to bud, the fresh new leaves on bushes and new plants and flowers of all sorts popping up. Green is one of my favorite colors - LIME GREEN - to be specific! So I particularly enjoy spring with all the myriad of shades of green it brings.
St. Patrick's Day is a celebration of the color green, and decor comes in all shades from deep forest green to light springy green. It is one of the few holidays that focuses almost entirely on one color.
Creating projects St. Patrick's Day is enjoyable for me as I get to play with my favorite color! There is plenty of my fave lime on this cute shaker card that features the NeW Top Hat Shaker...
I covered the base of the shaker with 2 different patterned papers and painted the top layer of the shaker dark lime green. Next I filled the shaker with several different types of green filler...
Don't forget to remove the protective film from the acrylic part of the shaker when assembling.
I thought the hat needed a little somethin' so I added a few stickers, a feather and rhinestone to the bottom left...
I had a lime green card base and used a corner rounder on the top right corner. I also rounded the top of the patterned paper that is behind the shaker. A few added stickers finished off the card.
Clear Scraps has lots of different shakers, including some brand NeW ones! You can view them here: Clear Scraps Shakers
