Clear Scraps Scallop Slimline Album--Valentine Love Home Decor
January 26, 2022
Hi there everyone! Ready for some Valentine's inspiration?
Laura here with you today to show you just that!
This sweet little home decor project starts with the
Clear Scraps Chip Scallop Slimline Album.
And you can spy a cute mini shaker and one of the great items
in the store that can be used on it's own or as a compliment to
the Slimline albums is the Curves Chipboard Border. There are
many styles of these and you can find them all HERE.
Using these Slimline albums for home decor projects is a fun
way to create--and you can also make multiples for gifts!
You can cover them with paper, paint, ink, whatever you'd like.
Here I started with a layer of bright pink paint, then brushed
the edges with just a touch of white paint. Then out came the
stencils! They are a great way to add a fun touch to a project!
Using the 6" Fan Scroll stencil from Clear Scraps,
I used washi tape to cover the area around one of the
single hearts to make it easy to get a super clean image.
I stenciled a heart in each scallop, and then painted the
border piece in a soft blue/green and glued that to the
top, taking care to leave the holes open for later.
Now it was time for some embellishing. I used some
ephemera pieces, enamel dots, and of course, the
Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Double Hearts.
I painted the top of the shaker frame in white acrylic paint.
The solid back piece was traced on some sprinkle patterned
paper, cut out, and then glued on. Then inside I added
some of the cute Sprinkles Love Mix from Clear Scraps.
Some pink organza ribbon was added to the holes on the
top to create a hanger and bows added to add a cute touch
and to cover the middle hole on the album piece. You
could always just cover with paper or whatever, but I
thought the bow idea was fun too!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
