Noel Altered Tag

Happy Christmas Eve!

Tami here on the blog with you today with a holiday project to show you.

I really like Clear Scraps Door Chipboard Embellishment. I could just picture a Christmas wreath hanging on it.

That was the starting point of this altered tag...

I used one of the chipboard tags from the Chipboard Tag Album as a base. I painted it with a layer of white crackle paste. You can speed up the dry time with a heat gun or just let it air dry. Once the crackle paint was dry, I added a layer of glitter paint around the edges...

I painted the door red and the Noel Chipboard Word Title gold. I distressed the tag, door and word with brown chalk ink...

I used a piece of silver foil paper to back the upper portion of the door. I used a pouncing brush with white paint to make it look frosty. Then I adhered the foil into the top portion of the door...

I cut a small piece of printed paper to use for the bottom of the door. You could also remove this piece and back it like I did on the top. I adhered the paper, then used the pouncing brush again to add snow to the door...

I adhered a small wreath to the upper portion of the door, adhered the door to the tag using foam tape, then added Noel towards the bottom...

I finished the tag by adding holly around the top of the door, tying a gold ribbon in the hole and then using a dress pin to attach a tiny jingle bell...
