Featured Designer Melly Art: Mini Mixable Dainty Album
December 01, 2021
Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping in! Its Melly Art and I’m sharing my final Guest Designer project with you. I’m using the Mini Mixable Dainty 3.5 x 5 Album.

Once I chose the photos the wanted to use, and the collection, this came together so fast. I used photos of one of my sisters and her family from their annual photo session. They went so beautiful with the Cocoa Vanilla These Days and Daydream collections.

The front acrylic piece, I used a double sided 3x4 card and adhered it on the backside with the phrase showing through. I kept it simple and just added a fussy cut frame and butterfly, and a flower and leaf from the ephemera pack, and some pretty sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps.

For these two, I kept one side decorative with some cute phrase pieces pop up with some foam tape, hearts, and more sequins. The other side I added a photo, the year, another frame and butterfly.

The boys! I wanted to keep with the butterflies and flowers, but not crazy, cause they’re boys. So I used the ombré paper end that pulled out the yellow from their shirts, and the blue and green butterflies. Still pretty and goes with the flow of the book, but not so pink and girly.

The Girls! The used the same ombré paper, but used the more pink end of it, also pulling in the yellow so it flowed with the other pages. With this one I added more flowers and butterflies, cause why not! I also added more sequins and puffy sticker words.

The back page, I used the wood grain paper, and another phrase piece and turned it into a shaker. Using the same sequins, and some small fussy cut flowers that all move around. Instead of using metal rings, I used some pretty ribbon to tie it together.

I love how this project turned out. The photo and collections worked perfectly!
I’ve had so much fun designing these 3 months! I hope to be able to come back again as a guest and share more fun inspiration for you! Until than you can me on Facebook. Melly Art or on Instagram @melly.Art.creates
Happy crafting!
