Fall Slimline Acrylic Album

Hello friends! It's Jennifer here on the blog to share another one of the fabulous Slimline Albums with you!  I love the fall colors and creating projects all about autumn!  For today's project, I used the Scallop Acrylic Slimline Album and am going to show you the techniques I used!

After removing the protective film from both sides, I applied four different colors of alcohol ink to the front cover.  I began by applying the lightest color (yellow) at the top followed by using the darkest (rust) at the bottom. Alcohol ink will dry quickly on the acrylic which is a nice quality!

Using the Scallop Chipboard Borders, I painted one with white acrylic paint followed by a coat of crackle effect.

After my crackle effect was dry, I applied a light coat of chalk paint in green.  You will notice the white acrylic paint shows through and gives a nice distressed look. I then used my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive to Adhere my Chipboard Border to the front cover of my album.

I used the Mason Jar Chipboard Embellishment Shapes to accent my album. I painted the chipboard frame with white acrylic paint and covered the base with patterned paper. I then added die cut and chipboard hearts to "fill" the jar.  Last, I added some bakers twine to the top.

For my inside pages, I cut 4 x 11.75 inch patterned paper for my background and added spots for journaling or photos.  With the Slimline Albums you have plenty of room to add multiple photos or extra embellishments (or lots of both)!

I love to layer my embellishments around journaling...here I plan to list favorite things about fall.

For this page, I created a pocket to insert journaling cards.  I attached tabbed stickers with a stapler for ease of pulling my cards out of the pocket.

For the next two pages, I used chipboard frames that were in the collection I used to hold future photos.

For my last page, I  simply used cardstock as a place holder for a future photo.  I often like to place another pattern under my photo to add color as well as dimension.
