Circle Ghosts Mini Shaker Shape Album
October 21, 2021
Hello everyone! Its Jennifer here on the blog today to share a Halloween mini album today featuring the new Circle Ghosts Mini Shaker Shape! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I love creating projects all about the month of October! I used the Wood Deco Slimline Album for my book and am going to show you all of my techniques!
For the Shaker, I used black acrylic paint on the top chipboard frame as well as the edges of the two middle frames. I covered the chipboard base with patterned paper affixing with Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive.
I then affixed the two center frames to the base and added coordinating colors of sequins to the center. Adding adhesive around the edges of the chipboard is best when affixing the acrylic shape. Next, you are able to adhere the top chipboard frame.
And here is a close up of the finished shaker which I added a die cut to the top corner. I adhered my shaker to the front of my album using my Beacon Adhesive.
For each of the five pages of my Slimline Album, I painted the outside thirds with black acrylic paint as I knew I would be adding patterned paper. For my back cover, I did paint the entire piece.
I usually leave the inside of the front cover for journaling about the event/holiday. Here, I added a journaling spot along with some embellishments.
Many of my photo spots are for 4x4 size but you can fit up to 4x6 on each page. There are many combinations of possibilities!
For this page, I affixed a journaling card with washi tape as well as added a tag at the bottom in order to "flip up" the card to reveal a photo underneath.
I left photo spaces for a 4x4 and 3x5 (which I find fit nicely in the Slimline Albums)
Or, as in the next two pages, you can add a photo along with a space for journaling.
Do you have any Halloween traditions that you try to do each year?
