Hi everybody! Leslie here, sharing a Christmas card in non-traditional colors of pink and green! Christmas is my favorite holiday and I'm always in Christmas mode! And I might as well confess that I'm a certified fun fold geek... so I thought a teepee card was just the ticket to use with the Vine Circle Chipboard Embellishments turned into wreaths! This card folds flat for mailing, too!
To create the card base, cut three 5" square panels from white cardstock and score each one diagonally. Lay two of the squares side-by-side with the diagonal score lines in a V orientation. Adhere the third square on top with the score line vertically centered and the bottom point lined up with the bottom edge of the other two squares. Note: The square panels can be cut in any size you want depending on the size of your embellishments.
Flip the card base over and adhere cardstock and patterned paper layers. The two large green cardstock panels are cut at 4-5/8" square and cut diagonally. The two large pink patterned paper layers are cut at 4-1/8" square and cut diagonally. The small green cardstock panel is cut at 1-3/4" and cut diagonally. The small green patterned paper layer is cut at 1-1/4" square and cut diagonally.
Fold on all the score lines and form the card into a teepee shape, and add a magnet closure. This is what the back should look like.
Paint both of the Vine Circle Chipboard Embellishments. Mix white chalk paint with several drops of green India ink and paint the large wreath, and mix white chalk paint with several drops of magenta India ink and paint the small one. When dry, dab glue on both wreaths with a sponge and sprinkle clear glitter. Spray with a fixative to ensure the glitter won't fall off.
Embellish the wreaths using different textures on each. Use various sizes of iridescent gemstones on the big one, and various sizes of white flat-back pearls on the small one.
Adhere the green wreath to the teepee card base with glue. Use double-sided adhesive foam pads to adhere the pink wreath, overlapping the side of the green wreath. Add a stamped and silver embossed sentiment cut with a fishtail die, using double-sided adhesive foam pads. Finally, add a few white flat-back pearls at the bottom.
