Woof & Bone 3D Frameable
September 03, 2021
Hola,
Tami here on the blog with you today.
I have a project using one of the new 3D Frameables that I would like to share with you. It features one of the new themes too: Woof & Bone...
Since I have 2 boys, I don't get to do too many scrapbook layouts or home decor projects that are "girlie". Pink and flowers are not often choices I reach for. But my mom's dog, Sox, is a girl so... let's break out the frills!
I started by painting the large base with silver paint. I painted the ends of the small base with pink paint. Then I cut strips the width of the space between the slots of the small base and adhered them. I left the pieces at the front and back longer and then filed them even with the edge. I like the look of paper on the base, but it does take a little bit of work to remove it from the slots. Cutting strips seemed to be a good way to avoid that.
Next, I adhered a printed paper to the frame and filed off the excess using the Large Sanding Stick. I also covered the bone with a coordinating printed paper...
For the "Woof", I painted the "W" and the "F" pink and the paws - "o's" , with silver paint. The paws didn't look finished, so I outlined the letters and then backed the paws with coordinating paper...
I used chipboard letters to add "Sox" to the bone and outlined them to match the letters on "woof".
To finish, I added a flower at the center of "sox", a group of flowers at the upper left of the frame, some paper flags and a tag...
If you haven't checked out the 3D Frameables line yet, take a peek. New designs for the upcoming holidays have been added!
