Give Thanks Autumn Home Decor

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Dana and I'm here to share an Autumn Home Decor project with you. I love the fall season and all colorful changing of the leaves. I'm using Clear Scraps Wood Rectangle shape Click Here for my base.

These wood pieces come in a 3 pack and in a variety of different shapes to choose from. You can add paint, pastes, inks and sprays to create the look you want.

For my project today, I chose to cover my wood rectangle with a vellum sheet with foil accents.  The collection I'm using today is Prima's new Pink Autumn collection. I cut my vellum sheet to measure 10 x7 7/8 inches. I used a Clear vellum adhesive or any clear glue you prefer.

Next I took some metallic copper cording and adhered all around the edges of my wood base. I like using a strong permanent glue like Beacon 3 in 1 glue.

From my stash, I took one of the Clear Scraps  chipboard frames that was leftover from my chipboard pieces. I rubbed some metallic wax with my finger, over the top of my chipboard frame piece. This gives it a nice metallic shine. Then I took one of the journaling cards from the collection, and glued it to the back of my chipboard frame.

Now add some foam tape to the back of your frame and adhere it in the center of your wood piece. This will be my main focal point of my design.

Next I choose some embellishments, like chipboard stickers, ephermera, leaves and foliage and arranged where I wanted. Did some fussy cutting and inked the edges of my pieces. I chose a sentiment from one of the papers and added some foam dots to the back. I adhered the sentiment at the top of my frame. I tucked some leaves on each side of my sentiment piece. I added pop dots to the back of my fussy cut flower and adhered it onto my sentiment card. I took a chipboard blessings sentiment and glued this at the bottom of my frame. I glued my matching butterflies onto the inside of my frame. I like to add some glitter to my butterfly wings and centers of my fussy cut flowers.

Here's some closeups:

To finish off my project, I took a piece of gold tulle tied knots on both ends and adhered to the back of my wood piece using hot glue. Now it's ready to hang!
