Hi everyone, with summer in full swing, and visits with family and friends ongoing, take a small gift with you in a personalized summer gift bag. You can create a new gift bag or upcyle a gift bag by using one of Clear Scraps' Shakers.
Once the gift bag has been selected, add assorted embellishments to give it a true summer feel.
Selecting the Mini Shaker Anchor, I separated all the pieces so I could determine my color scheme.
Since the gift bag was in shades of oranges, I selected an orange ink to add a hint of color.
Since chipboard absorbs color, you can paint the elements with gesso, let them dry, then add color.
In this way, you will achieve a true color if that is what you desire.
As I wanted a subtle color, I was ok just inking the chipboard elements.
Punch holes in the anchor base and the acrylic anchor so ribbon can be threaded through.
Glue 2 anchors to the base and let dry.
Glue the remaining anchor to the acrylic anchor and let dry.
Reminder: remove the film from the acrylic piece before assembling.
Fill the channel with beads or dew drops and place the acrylic anchor piece on top.
Tie the Anchor to the gift bag, add a bow, and a great summer gift bag is ready.
With so many Shakers to chose from, you have so many options for every season!
Thanks for stopping by.
