Hello crafty friends and happy Friday! It's Maya here on the blog today to share a wood house home decor featuring one of the Wood Shapes and the Chipboard Word Titles. I also used the Brick Wall Masking Stencil to add some patterns to the background. The house wood shape is just so perfect for a family photo and I used one of our pre-wedding photos to create this Home Sweet Home project. Absolutely love how it turned out!
▼ Here I used the Wood House Shape and Home Word Title for today's project.
▼ I began by painting the house shape and the Home word title with acrylic paints in pink and brown.
▼ After acrylic paints dried, I glued a piece of twine to enrich the background.
▼ I also added some brick patterns by using the Brick Wall Masking Stencil along with brown acrylic paint to add some textures to the background.
▼ As you can see, here I fussy cut a photo frame and some florals from patterned papers for decoration and layering. My little tip to add some depth for layering is to adhere the second or third layer of ephemera with double-sided adhesive foams.
▼ Before I glued my photo and all the decorative pieces to the house shape, I also added a piece of lace ribbon for extra touches.
