Hello Crafters!
Dana here! I love creating albums! How about you? Have you seen all the new Slimline albums from Clear Scraps? We will be using Clear Scraps Wood Scalloped Slimline album for today's project Click Here and the new Scalloped Chipboard border Click Here
To start, I painted a one inch border on all pages using Acrylic paint (Parchment) let dry. I took my chipboard scalloped border and painted both the front, back and edges using cherry red acrylic paint. Set aside to dry.
The papers I chose to use are Carta Bella Country Kitchen collection, which includes matching ephermera, tags and stickers. All base papers will measure 41/4 x 10 1/4 inches. For the front cover, I cut another paper at 3 3/4 x 9 3/4 inches to adhere on top of my base paper, using foam tape. I added some banner stickers along the scalloped edge of my album. I decorated the front cover with some ephermera, sentiment titles, added foam dots to the back of my vintage gal sticker and adhered to the right of my album. I fussy cut out the canning jars, inked the edges and added pop dots before adhering to the bottom of my album cover.
Page 1: I added a pocket, and border edge using a border punch from my stash. Tucked in acouple journaling cards. Added some sticker sentiments and pop dots to my milk bottle cap!
Page 2: I added a cream cardstock photo mat measuring (3 1/4 x 5) and memories tab sticker on the left top. Took two ephermera pieces and adhered to the top and bottom of my page using foam dots.
Page 3: I made a flip up page measuring 4 1/4 x 6 1/2 inches, scored 1/2 inch at the top, added a punched border at the bottom and adhered this piece to the top of my page. I added a scalloped border sticker on the top. Took the Rooster ephemera tag and adhered to my flap page along with a button at the top of my tag. You could add a photo underneath the flip up page.
Page 4: I took another ephemera card and adhered slightly below the top page using foam dots. This would be a perfect place to add a favorite recipe! I adhered a rooster sticker at the bottom along with some rub on sentiments to finish my page.
Page 5: I made another pocket page, using yellow cardstock and added a sticker border to the top of my pocket. Pop dots to my sentiment and garden lady ephermera pieces.
Page 6: I made a side pocket using red cardstock, measuring 3 1/4 x 10 1/4 inches, added a punch border. This pocket will open to the right. I like to add a few journaling cards and tag with some twine tied at the top of my tag. Ephermera sentiment and a frame in the middle of the page. You could slip a photo inside the frame if you like! Sentiment at the top and a vase/daisies sticker at the bottom of my pocket.
Page 7: Made another pocket using a larger journaling card, tucked in a few ephermera cards and tag with some twine tied at the top! Farm to table sticker at the top of the page.
Page 8: Another pocket with a punched border edge, some canning jar stickers at the bottom using foam dots. Tucked a few cards into the pocket.
Now take your pages and attach together using metal rings. Take your scalloped chipboard border piece, mark the holes and punch out using a Crocodile hole punch. Add the chipboard border to the front of your album. To finish off, I tied acouple ribbons to my metal rings.
I hope you are inspired now and will want to create your own album to hold your treasured recipes and photos.
