3D Frameables -Welcome Home Decor
July 26, 2021
Hi Crafty Friends!
I am so excited about the new 3D Frameables from Clear Scraps! If you're like me, I love to decorate my home for different seasons and holidays! These 3D Frameables come in so many different styles of frames, embellishments and words. For my project today, I chose the 3D Frameable-scalloped frame Click Here and welcome/ mason jar embellishment Click Here
To begin I chose 2 patterned papers from Echo Park Farmhouse Kitchen Collection. I traced around both bases with a pencil onto my papers. Cut them out and adhered both papers to each of my bottom bases, using Beacon 3 in 1 glue. I trimmed around each base using an xacto knife, including the slots in both pieces. Then smoothed my edges using my sanding stick. Take both bases and glue them together, making sure to align your slots.
Next I took the welcome words and painted with red acrylic paint. Let dry. I also painted the top portion of my mason jar with silver acrylic paint. While drying. I traced my scalloped frame piece onto the Wood paper. Cut out and trimmed, and distressed around the edges of my frame, as you did with your previous pieces.
I covered my mason jar shape with another patterned paper and repeated the previous steps as you did for the other pieces. I took some twine and wrapped around the top of my mason jar. Added a bow on the left side and a cute flower button! I adhered two small hearts on both ends of my twine. Then I added an ephemera sentiment onto my jar to finish.
Now take your scalloped top frame piece and add either a photo as I did, or any matching paper, even your favorite quote to the back of your frame, making sure to align all slots. Then glue your frame on top of the second frame piece. Slide your frame into the back slot on your base. You can add any other embellishments to your frame as you prefer. I added some flower stickers and another sentiment.
Add your mason jar embellishment and welcome words to finish your project!
