Summer 3D Frameables

Howdy!

Tami here on the blog with you today to share a project using one of Clear Scraps' new 3D Frameables.

Have you seen them? It's a unique frame concept that lets you change out themes to match whatever photo you want to use.

You pick out a base and a frame design - there are 3 to choose from. Then pick out a theme from 9 different ones to compliment your photo.

Now you can have a year round frame that you can change with the seasons or holidays!

I love the Summer theme with it's Flip Flops wood shape. It was perfect to use with the pic I had of my son playing in the sprinkler...

I used printed paper to cover the base and the flip flops. I used a contrasting paper on the back of the flip flops to make the straps stand out. Clear Scraps' Sanding Stick makes the process easier. The tip gets between the dips in the scallop frame. The Sanding Stick comes in 2 sizes and has replaceable belts which you can move on the stick so that you always have a nice fresh sanding area.

I inked the frame and the Summer word using Oxide inks in an ombre pattern.

I wanted a little more color around the frame, so I added dots that I punched from printed paper.

My photo was also a little slim for the square opening. So I matted it on cardstock and added a coordinating sticker to fill the space.

If you'd like to use your frame year round and change out the themes, you could paint or cover the base and frame with neutral colors.

Or maybe do a different base and frame combo for each season.

I think these would also make great gifts! If you are looking for a unique wedding gift, consider making a set for the new couple. And father's day is coming up soon!

Thank you for visiting the Clear Scraps' blog; please come back soon to see what projects the other talented designers have to share with you!
