Flower Garden Card and Tag

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Dana and I'm back to share a card and matching tag I creates to hopefully inspire you! I love sending my friends and family homemade cards. So I thought why not create a matching tag too! I'm using Clear Scraps Chipboard tags Click Here

I fell in love with Carta Bella new Flower Garden collection so I thought this would be perfect for Spring!

For my tag: I traced my tag shape twice onto one of the papers in this collection. These tags measure 3.75 x 6.75 inches. For this project I only one of the tags. I'll save the other three to use on future projects. Cut out your tag shape, punch a hole at the top. Adhere your paper to the front and back of your chipboard tag. I prefer using Beacons 3 in 1 glue. It's fast drying and adheres quickly.  Then I took one of the journaling cards, inked the edges and added foam dots to the back, before adhering to the center of my tag. I glued a matching chipboard over the marching journaling card image. Added a sticker border to the bottom of my tag, along with a sticker flower on the left side (I used foam dots to adhere flower) 20210413_183902

To finish off my tag, I matted a sticker sentiment onto green coordinating paper adhered this at the top with foam dots. Adhered 3 enamel dots to the right side of my journaling card. Tied some matching ribbons through the hole at the top!

For my card: My card measures 6x6 inches. I added the coordinating green paper over the base of my card with glue. For the next two card layers I cut my papers slightly smaller and matted then onto my card using foam tape. This adds dimension and a nice layered look to your card. Set your card aside for now.

Next we will decorate our chipboard "Love" words. I chose to apply some Art Alchemy Impasto paint (Mint) to my chipboard surface, using a slight pouncing motion. It adds a nice textured look. Let dry.

Next I chose one of ephemera cards sentiment, inked the edges with a light blue distress ink. Then added some foam dots to the back and adhered to the top center of my card. I fussy cut a few flowers from my sticker sheet and pop dot them onto my ephermera card. I added some dazzle stickers to my flower centers.

Now take your Love chipboard word and adhere with glue to the bottom of your card. I took another empherma word title, cut it apart, inked the edges and glued on the bottom right side of my card. To finish off my card, I pop dot a flower pot above my grows here sentiment. Added a few enamel dots.
