Bouquet of Daisies Stenciled Canvas Gift Bag
May 24, 2021
Hola!
Tami here with you on the blog today with another project to share with you.
Clear Scraps has some wonderful stencil designs, and several of them are florals that are perfect for summer!
I needed a gift bag for a thank you gift - school is out soon, you might need one for a gift for that special teacher.
The Bouquet of Daisies is one of the fabulous flower stencil designs...
The 6 X 6 size was a perfect fit for the canvas bag I wanted to use.
I was very happy with how this project turned out; bright and cheery and perfect for spring!
Making the bag was easy. I had a canvas bag I wanted to use, so I used some fabric ink, but you could also stencil on a paper gift bag.
I put a piece of cardboard in the bag - so the ink wouldn't go through to the other side. then I arranged the stencil on the bag and taped it down using blue painters tape. I also taped off the areas beside the stencil where the design was close to the edge. This prevents accidental inking off the edges...
I started filling in the flowers using orange at the center and yellow for the petals - I let the orange go into the inside edges of the petals...
I filled in the leaves and stems with 2 shades of green...
Here's a closeup of the stenciled design...
I also stenciled a flower on a hand cut tag for the gift. I made sure I taped off the portions of the flower designs that were close to the flower I was using...
Thank you for stopping by today. Please come back soon and see what awesome projects the other Clear Scraps Designers have to show you!
