Romantic Wedding Acrylic Layout
February 24, 2021
Hi there Crafters!
Dana here and I've got a Wedding Layout project to share. I'm using Clear Scraps XL Deco Shape.
The papers I chose for this layout are from Graphic45 "Romantique" collection. I wanted to create an elegant but heritage look to my layout so these papers were perfect. I know some of you may feel intimidated to work with acrylic sheets. But it's really quite easy.
First off I chose one of the papers for my background. It's easier when you know what color palette you want to work with. I took a piece of black cardstock and diecut a frame, using my diecutting machine.
Then I took some Pebeo Gold gliding wax, and lightly rubbed a tiny bit over my diecut frame. A little gliding wax goes a long way. So be careful not to use too much. This wax will give you a pretty gold shimmer to your frame.
Next I took my photo and matted it onto one of the coordinating papers from the pack. Set your photo aside for now. Take your acrylic sheet and peel off the protective film on each side. Then adhere your background paper on top of your acrylic sheet. Then I added a piece of lace trim on the top edge of my background paper, being careful not to get any glue on your acrylic sheet. Then I added my photo to my frame using some foam dots. I also added pop dots to the back of my diecut frame. This will add some dimension to your layout. Adhere your photo frame in the center of your layout. I cut out 3 of the stamps in the collection, inked the edges and using pop dots I adhered them to the upper right hand of my layout. I also fuzzy cut a few roses, inked the edges then glued them to the top part of my diecut frame.
I fussy cut out the bride image, inked around the edges and adhered to the bottom right corner of my layout using pop dots. I adhered some Prima and Graphic45 flowers to the bottom right corner. Fussy cut out a few butterflies and glued them onto my page. You can add any embellishments you like, I chose some Prima crystals and a Love chipboard sticker, a string of pearls to the bride's necklace. I like to tuck in a few small pearls in between my flowers.
To finish my layout I added some Stickles Diamond glitter to the bride's veil and my butterfly wings. I brushed some Luna paste "Golden Sand" over my rose petals. I adhered a metal key to the left side of my layout. Lastly I inked the edges of my acrylic shape with Spectrum Noir Rose Gold metallic ink.
I hope I've inspired you to get out your photos and create your own acrylic layout! Don't forget to check out the Clear Scraps website for all your crafting supplies and see all the newest products.
