Love Large Chipboard Embellishment Layout

Hello and happy Friday! It's Jennifer here on the blog to share a project I did for Valentines Day since its this weekend.  Whether you celebrate or not, its still fun to document the people in your life that mean the most to you!  I created a layout using the Love Large Chipboard Embellishment and am going to show you my technique!

I cut the letters away from the chipboard frame they are packaged in ensuring to snip any excess tabs.  Using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive, I adhered patterned paper to the front of each letter.

Using scissors, I trimmed excess paper followed by using an x-acto knife and a sanding tool to smooth edges.  Because I wanted more of a distressed look, I did not overly concern myself with making sure each edge was perfect. I would also usually "clean up" edges by adding paint to the sides but decided to forego this step.

I adhered my letters again using the Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive arranging them as shown.  You can see I tried to use contrasting patterns for each letter.

For accent, I added die cut floweres and hearts around my photo using pop dots to give dimension.

Also, small stickers or enamel dots are  wonderful additions to your project.Clear_Scraps_Love_Large_Chipboard_Embellishment_layout6
