Hi there everyone!!! Laura here today to give you a little last minute Valentine's Day
Card inspiration! Or maybe you are working ahead for next year already!
This card was created using one of the acrylic sheets available from Clear Scraps.
It's actually easy to make one of these cards. and it is so unique! You can also
stamp on the acrylic, or use stencil pastes, or alcohol inks, but today, I went for
the clear route! It was cut to a standard 5&1/2"x4&1/4" and the back piece of
red cardstock was cut at 5&1/2"x4&3/4" so it has 1/2" to fold over to attach the
acrylic front of the card easily. I added a little decorative strip to dress it up a bit.
And another of the absolutely adorable chipboard embellishments from
Clear Scraps takes center stage on this card. I just love everything coffee,
and this Coffee Mug Chipboard is just perfect! Love the little heart in the
center--perfect for Valentine's Day especially! Easy to create too--I often
paint the Clear Scraps Chipboard Embellishments, but this time, I used
some pretty patterned paper for a different look.
The pieces were just traced and cut out. I brushed the edges with some
black distress ink. I wanted to fill in the heart with a little something
extra, so I used a separate small scrap of white cardstock.
I added a few small heart stickers for a little something extra, which
is why I wanted the nice white background. After that some twine,
a few additional sentiment and decorative stickers, and it's done!
Sweet and simple, but looks great! You can find a lot of different
chipboard pieces that make for super quick and easy cards in the
Clear Scraps store. Check them all out right HERE.
Thanks for Stopping by today! Stop back soon for more inspiration!
