Snow Day Acrylic Tag book
January 27, 2021
Hello Crafty Friends! It's Dana and I have a winter tag project to share with you today. If you haven't tried crafting with Clear Scraps acrylic yet, I encourage you to try it out. Don't be intimidated by it. I'm here to help you if you need to be inspired.
For this project I chose Clear Scraps Circle Scallop Acrylic Album. I'm also using Crate Paper "Bundled Up" paper and chipboard stickers to decorate my book.
My first tag measures 3 & 1/2 x 2 &1/4 inches. Peel off the protective film on borh sides of your acrylic tag. I only peel off each protective layer as I go along. I traced and cut out my paper. Mark and punch out your top holes. Then adhere paper to the back of your acrylic tag. I cut out a sentiment flag and glued towards the bottom of my tag. Added a chipboard sticker and snowflake on the top of my tag.
Back of tag #1: I cut another coordinating paper and glued to my acrylic tag. I cut out a sentiment and ahered to the bottom. Added a ephemera snowflake in the middle part of my tag and glued a silver rhinestone in the middle of my snowflake.
Tag #2: measures at 3 & 1/2 x 4 & 1/4 inches. Adhere your paper to the back side of your tag. Mark and punch holes on top. Then I cut my other paper at 3 & 1/2 x 2 inches and adhered it as a pocket. I added a sentiment sticker and mittens embellishment to the front of my pocket and tucked a mitten ephermera card inside my pocket.
The back of #2: cut my paper to measure 3 & 1/2 x 4 & 1/4 inches and glued down onto my tag surface. Then cut another paper at 3 & 1/2 x 2 1/4 to create a pocket. I added a sentiment chipboard sticker and cut out a journaling tag to tuck inside my pocket. Added some silver tinsel through the top hole on my tag.
Tag # 3: I chose to add a photo to the back of my chipboard sticker frame. Then glued this onto the center of my acrylic tag. Cut out a sentiment from one of my papers and adhered to the bottom of my photo. Then added a chipboard sticker snowflake to the upper left corner of my photo frame. I took some Luna paste " moonlight pearl" and applied with a small paintbrush tmaround the edge of my acrylic tag. This adds a nice frosty effect. Let dry.
Back of tag #3: I cut my paper to measure 2 & 3/4 x 4 & 1/2 inches. Adhere to your acrylic tag surface. I cut out Dashing through the snow sentiment and added foam dots to the back. Then adhere onto my tag. Glued a jolly snowman on sled chipboard sticker. Added some fake snow to the bottom of my sled and Stickles glitter to my snowman scarf.
Tag #4: Paper measures at 3 & 1/2 x 6 inches. Adhere to tag surface. I created another pocket measuring 3 & 1/2 x 2 & 1/4 inches. Added some silver Washi tape to top if my tag and on both top and bottom of my pocket. Tucked a Hat ephermera card inside my pocket. Added a silver snowflake embellishment to the upper left corner of my tag. And a Snow sentiment sticker to my pocket.
Back side of tag #4: cut paper at 3 & 1/2 x 5 & 1/2 inches and adhered to tag surface. Then I cut a polka dot paper to measure 3 & 1/4 x 5 inches and scored it on the left side at 1/2 inch, attached it evenly on left side of tag. This creates a flip page. You may add a photo inside if you like. To decorate my flip page I added a girl on sled sticker and acouple chipboard embellishment stickers.
Tag # 5 adhere a 3 & 1/2 x 6 inch polka dot paper to back of your acrylic tag. Made another pocket as I did previously. Tucked an ephermera snow angel inside my pocket. Glued 3 banner flags to the top of my tag surface. Added pop dots to the back of my mitten empherma and adhered to the front of my pocket.
Back of tag #5: Paper measures 3 & 1/2 x 5 inches. Made another pocket. Tied twine and jute cords to my tags and added some chipboard stickers to decorate my tags, before tucking into my pocket. Then glued one chipboard girl on skates sticker to my front if my pocket.
Tag # 6: Paper measures 3 & 1/2 x 8 inches. Set aside. I added a photo to the back of my empherma frame and glued to the middle of my tag. Next I adhered my paper to the back of my acrylic tag, being careful to only place glue behind your photo frame and sentiment so your glue won't show through your acrylic. Next I added a sticker embellishment to top of my tag. Pop dot to the back of my snowflake ephermera piece and adhered this to the upper left corner of my photo frame. I also added a pop dot to the back of my "Noted" empherma piece and adhered this to the bottom of my frame. Adhered a sled sticker and snowflake chipboard sticker to finish my tag.
To finish off my tag book, I added acouple silver metal rings and then tied some red tulle and ribbons onto my metal rings.
