Heart/Paw Mini Shaker Layout
January 29, 2021
Happy Friday friends! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a layout I created using one of the fun Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Shapes! They are great to use on layouts, cards, mini albums; just about any project! The Heart/Paw Mini Shaker is perfect for a page all about our black lab mix Henry!
I began with a 12x12 piece of white cardstock for my background. Using the 12 Inch Cloud Mascil I lightly spritzed the cardstock with blue spray ink. You can go as light or dark as you prefer. For my layout I didn't want the blue to overpower the rest of my colors so was sparing with my spray.
For my shaker, I painted the top chipboard frame with black acrylic paint and filled with multi colored sequins. I applied Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive to the back to adhere to my page as you want a strong bond to hold your embellishment.
Here is a close up of the spray ink + Mascil on my cardstock. Clear Scraps stencils are a great way to add dimension to your projects! I also added strips of patterned paper as well as a border sticker to create contrast.
Adding small embellishments such as stickers and enamel dots can be great accents to your page! I will also "pop up" embellishments with foam tape for additional dimension.
Placing stickers or die cuts on top of your photos is a fun way to add a pop of color to your page!
