Oh Christmas Tree

Hello Crafters! Dana is back with a Christmas card project I hope it  inspires you. I love creating handmade Christmas Cards to send to family and friends. I think a handmade card is so much more personal and shows how much you care. 

For this card project I'll be using Clear Scraps Christmas tree 4x6 inch stencil. Click Here

For my card base, I cut a piece of watercolor paper down to 61/2 x 4 inches. Take your Xmas tree stencil and tape securely to your card base. I used some removable tape to hold down my stencil so I wouldn't rip my paper when removing the tape afterwards. Then I chose 3 different colored Tim Holtz Distress Inks, and using my ink dabber, I applied the ink to each tree using a swirling motion. Carefully remove your stencil after you finish.

Next I adhered some gold tinsel around the edges of my card base, using some tacky glue. Let dry.

To decorate each tree I used Stickles Star dust glitter on the first tree. For the middle tree I used Clear Scraps Summer Sequins Click Here 

I adhered the sequins onto my tree using clear craft glue. 

For the last tree I applied some Stickles silver glitter to the tree and added some dazzle stickers for bulbs. Then I added some star shaped embellishments to the top of each tree. 

Next  I took some mirrored green card and cut down at 7 x 5 inches and adhered to my card base. Then i cut my red mirrored card to 6 3/4 x 4 3/4, applied foam dots to the back and adhered this on top of my green card base. Then added pop dots to the back of my stenciled tree card and adhered it on top. To finish off my card, I stamped a Merry and Bright sentiment onto my card with black ink.
