Fall Leaf Shaker Napkin Ring
August 24, 2020
Hola!
Tami here with an idea for using the new Maple Leaf Mini Shaker...
The design is so pretty, I wanted to embellish it with the fall colors that come to mind when you see this leaf.
I thought using alcohol inks on the acrylic piece would create the look I wanted.
And I decided it would be perfect to use to embellish a napkin ring.
Here's how it turned out...
And here's how I did it...
I painted the top piece gold and the base white.
You need a light, bright color on the base to make the alcohol inks on the acrylic piece really pop.
I used several colors of alcohol inks in autumn colors to ink the acrylic piece.
Scatter several dots of each color on the felt applicator, then dab the applicator on the acrylic.
Before assembling the shaker, I filled it with sequins.
A piece cut from a cardboard tube was covered with printed paper and adhered to the back of the leaf to form the ring.
The napkin ring sits perfectly on the plate and would look nice of your fall or thanksgiving table.
You could also add a tag to the side with each guests name to use as a place setting.
