Clear Scraps Chipboard Embellishments -- It's a Boy Card
July 21, 2020
Hi there everyone! Laura here to share a card idea with you today!
Baby cards are always good to make ahead to have a few on
hand. This sweet simple card is easy to make!! It started with
a simple blue card base and mat. Next up, it was stencil time!
Yep the plaid background was created using an awesome
stencil from Clear Scraps! This one is the 4x6 Plaid Stencil.
This stencil is truly one of my faves! It's an easy way to
create the exact color of "patterned paper" you want as
a layering piece for a card. The 4x6 size is perfect for this!
Clear Scraps has a lot of fun 4x6 stencils in their store too,
you can find their entire collection of stencils HERE. To
make this I used distress ink and a sponge applicator.
When I applied the ink, I applied more at the bottom, less
at the top to give a slight ombre look. You could use paint,
or spray stain or ink, lots of different options with a stencil!
The little onesie in the center is a simple focal point.
This is the Onesie Chipboard Embellishment from
Clear Scraps. Since it's chipboard you could use ink,
paint, spray stain. I used acrylic paint, and then I
brushed around the edges with a darker blue distress
ink to give it a little bit of depth with a shading effect.
This is another item in the Clear Scraps store that, if
you haven't, you should go and check out all the options.
You can used these on cards, mini albums, scrapbook
pages, home decor projects, banners. It's really only
limited by your own imagination! You can find all the
different options right HERE in the store!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stop back soon
for more inspiration!!
