Tropical 5x7 Chipboard Album

Hello friends! I'm here to share a mini album I  created using the 5x7 Chipboard Album along with a few favorite Clear Scraps products! Its almost summer and most of us would be planning our next vacation.  I  know for us we will be pretty much staying home...so the next best thing is scrapping a favorite trip!  My husband and I  were fortunate to travel to Costa Rica this past December!

I  used the Sanddollar Chipboard Embellishment Shapes to decorate the inside of my book. Here is one of the chipboard that I  adhered at the bottom left corner of my journaling.  I  even placed a brad through the center and accented with coral bakers twine.

I'm going to show the steps of the technique I  used to embellish my chipboard.  I  began by painting the fronts with acrylic paint in white.

Once dry, I  applied embossing ink then used glitter embossing powder; holographic for the starfish and blue for the sand dollar.

I  utilized my 12x12 Acrylic Sheets to create extra pages for my book.  Here, I  cut two separate pieces of acrylic to create a flap (I  used cardstock and a bone folder to create the connecting piece).

Here, you can see that I  used the sand dollar as my accent at the bottom of the pocket.  I  cut down the photos and attached half scallop circles with brads.

This is a little 4x6 accent page I  created to add in extra embellishments. This is also a good way to add journaling or additional photos.

I  secured the 4x6 Sunrise Stencil over my acrylic and colored with alcohol ink using an applicator.

For my next page, I   utilized washi tape to create a way to flip up the top photo. I   affixed a tab at the bottom for easy lifting and secured with a staple.

Here is a photo of the photo underneath which is adhered directly the the chipboard page.
