Hello everyone... Helen is here today. My project today is a fun decoration that I created inspired by things I love: Jesus and coffee.
I used the Clipboard Mini Deco which is a clear acrylic shaped clipboard. So, I pulled out some of my alcohol inks. But before I added the alcohol inks, I removed the plastic covers on both sides of the acrylic clipboard and the clip, too.
I blended the alcohol inks on top the clipboard with alcohol blender solution. After that I set a side to dry couple minute.
While some parts of the alcohol paint was still kindda wet and tacky, I added some foil sheets on the surface of the clipboard. I gently rubbed the foil on the surface with my finger to transfer the foil.
Next, I grabbed the 4x6 Coffee Stain Stencil and added some of the Memento Luxe Espresso Truffle ink on the clipboard surface using the make up wedge sponge. I set it aside to dry while I was working on the coffee mug chipboard.
I cut off the pieces of the Coffee Mug Chipboard Embellishment out of its frame. I painted the mug lid shape with white gesso. I did it two layers. You can also use white acrylic paint if you want. Any coloring medium is actually will work well on this chipboard surface.
I used craft heater to speed up the drying process of the white gesso. After that, I traced the coffee mug shape and the mug sleeve shape on top of the scrapbook paper and fussy cut them with scissors. I added the cut out scrapbook papers on top of each of the pieces using 3-in-1 Beacon Adhesive Glue.
I added some shadow around the mug pieces with Distress Ink Vintage Photo using the foam dauber. I added the coffee mug sleeve on top of the coffee mug with the same adhesive glue. I put couple acrylic stamping block to hold it down while the glue drying.
I printed out the sentiment quote from one of the digital stamp sets on a white cardstock with inkjet printer. And then, I cut it out using the Pierced Pennant Dies.
I added the finished coffee mug on top of the acrylic chipboard with 3-in-1 Beacon Adhesive Glue and I added the sentiment pennant 3D foam tape.
I tied up some of the wrinkle ribbons on the clip and I added it on the clipboard. It is done. I like how this mini decoration turned out. Now, I have a fun coffee decoration in my craft room.
I hope you all like this project and get an inspiration to create project using Clear Scraps products.
