Vacation Jars Embellished with Shakers

Tami here today to show you a fun was to use two of the new Clear Scraps Shakers: Mini Girl Mouse and Mini Flip Flops

Spring and Summer is VACAY time! And that means planning and budgeting for them. You might just find yourself with some extra time on your hands in the coming days, so how about spending some of it getting crafty? 

Clear Scraps Shakers are fun to embellish and fill, you can use them on cards, gift bags, make magnets or ornaments out of them, use them on decor projects --- all sorts of things.

I thought they would be a great way to embellish Vacation Jars to use to save up for a family vacay...

The bottom layer of the Flip Flops was covered with printed paper, then the top layer was colored in with glittler gel pens. I crushed up some broken shells to fill them with; you could also add sand. Small sequin flowers with rhinestone flowers finish them off...

For the Mini Girl Mouse, the bottom layer was covered in printed papers - I used a different one for the ears. The bow on the top layer was backed with red cardstock and colored in with black glitter gel pen. I filled the shaker with rhinestones and sequin flowers...

Ribbons were adhered to the back to hang the shakers around the jars. This also makes the shakers removable so you can use them to embellish memories of your trip after you get back.

Clear Scraps: Mini Girl Mouse and Mini Flip Flops

Other: Beacon Adhesives: Zip Dry, Glitter Gel Pens, Printed Papers, Cardstock Scrap, Flower Sequins, Rhinestones, Crushed Shells, Ribbon and Jars
