Hello everyone... It's Helen. Today, I would like to share a mixed media card that I want to share with you all.
On this mixed media card, I used the 6" Hibiscus Flower Stencil and 3 x 12 Peace Be Still Stencil, and watercolor paint, texture paste, fine glitter, Gelatos (or any coloring medium you prefer), permanent pen.
First, I created the watercolor background using watercolor paint. I added some light blue watercolor paint and water on a piece of watercolor paper. I kept adding water to create wash and dried it with craft heater. Next, I sprayed it with some water using the Distress Sprayer and then dabbed off the water with paper towel. I dried the panel again with craft heater.
Next, I mixed the texture paste with fine glitter on my craft mat.
I taped the 6" Hibiscus Flower Stencil on the bottom corner of the panel. Then I added the glitter texture paste on it using palette knife. I dried my texture paste with craft heater for speedy drying, but if you want, you can left it to dry for couple hours or over night.
Next step is coloring the flower. I used Gelatos and waterbrush to color the hibiscus flower. If you don't have any Gelato, you can use any coloring medium you can use on texture paste, but I don't recommend to use any alcohol markers or anything that has softer nibs, the texture paste or rough surface might ruin your marker nibs.
After the coloring done, I traced the word "Be Still" using the 3 x 12 Peace Be Still Stencil and pencil first; then I traced it again with Faber-Castell Brush Pen. This pen has pegment india ink that works very well on any surfaces, especially on watercolored background like this.
I added some gold splatters on the panel using the Gold Finetec watercolor paint and waterbrush. I dried the panel one more time with craft heater, and then I added on a A2 white card with permanent adhesive runner.
I hope this card will bring you joy and comfort, a reminder that you can be still in the Lord and know that He is the mighty God who will send help.
