Faith Over Fear Pallet Sign
April 30, 2020
Hello everyone... Helen is here today. Today, I would like to share this Faith Over Fear Pallet Sign that I created using the Square Medium DIY Pallet Shape and Faith Over Fear XL Script Wood Quote.
I use 12 x 12 scrapbook paper that I cut into 3 paper strips. I applied thin layer of Mod Podge with foam brush on each of the pallet wood, next I added each paper strips on the wood pallet, and then I applied another thin layer of the Mod Podge again.
The Mod Podge can dry in couple hours or over night. But I dried it with craft heater (heat gun) for faster drying. But the trick is when use craft heater (heat gun), you have to be careful for the glue not to get bubbly becuase of the heat.
I added extra texture on the wood with paint splatters using acrylic paints (white, teal and dark blue) that mixed with a little bit of water. And then I used the brush to add the splatters on the wood.
While wait for the splatters paints to dry, I grabbed my Extra Glitter Mod Podge jar and another clean brush. I painted the wood script word with those glitter mod podge and look at that... I got a glitter wood word!!! I love how it turned out. Again, I used craft heater to speed up the drying time.
I added the wood word on the wood pallet with wood glue. I put some heavy books on top if it while it was drying.
These last several weeks that we all have been through are uncertain. I hope this sign can be a reminder for all of us to have faith than fear, to help us to remember that God in whom we have put our trust is at work in our lives every single day.
Thank you for stopping at our blog today. Have wonderful day!
