Hello everyone! Helen is here today. March is here and that means Spring is coming, too! It is time for a new home decor.
I made this new Spring Wood Pallet Sign using the new Wagon Large Chipboard Embellishment and Rectangle 12x10 Medium DIY Pallet Shape.
To decorate the Rectangle 12x10 Medium DIY Pallet Shape, I measured the size of each pallet and then I trimmed a 12x12 scrapbook paper with paper trimmer into paper strips. Or you also can simply trace the wood pallet on top of the 12x12 scrapbook paper and cut with scissors.
I added each paper strip on the wood pallet with Beacon 3-in-1 adhesive glue. If you don’t have this glue, make sure you use permament strong adhesive glue that works on wood surface.
Next step is decorating the Wagon Large Chipboard Embellishment. I used heat embossing technique on this chipboard embellishment. It is easy and give some texture on the wagon, it looks like a painted wood wagon.
I applied the VersaMark ink all over the wagon chipboard surface.
And then, I sprinkled the white opaque glitter embossing powder (I have a bottle that I mixed the white embossing powder and iridecent glitter embossing powder). I cover the whole surface.
And then, carefully I used my craft heater gun to heat set the embossing powder. Please, make sure your craft heater gun is warm enough to melt the powder, better pre-heat it for 15-30 seconds before. If not, you will blow some of the powder off when you go over the chipboard when it is still cool.
I did this embossing step three times to get the thickness that I wanted on the wagon and for the wheels I decided to use the black glitter embossing powder for the second and third layer.
When the embossing step is done, I adde the chipboard on top of the wood pallet with the Beacon 3-in-1 adhesive glue, and I held it down for a minute to make sure the glue dried well. I added a diecut flowers and leaves on the wagon to embellish it.
For the sentiment on the sign, I used cork letter stickers and I wrote the rest of the Bible verse with permanent marker brush.
I finished the wood sign with couple of those gold beaded butterflies that I added on the wood with the same adhesive glue. It is ready to be put on our mantle for Spring decor.
